Conference Producer - Global MedTech & HealthTech

MedTech World

Is this job info correct?

About MedTech World

Launched in 2020, MedTech World began with a mission to position Malta as a meeting point for the global MedTech and HealthTech ecosystem.

Today, we've grown into an international platform operating across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia, bringing together founders, investors, healthcare systems, clinicians, corporates, policymakers and industry leaders.

Our global calendar spans flagship summits in Malta, Dubai, West Palm Beach and Hong Kong, alongside investor forums, executive gatherings, roadshows, workshops and curated networking experiences throughout the year.

As we continue to expand internationally, we're looking for an ambitious and highly organised Conference Producer to take ownership of the content and programming behind our global events.

This isn't simply about filling an agenda.

The Role

You'll be responsible for identifying the conversations that matter, finding the right people to lead them, and turning those ideas into compelling panels, keynotes, fireside chats and experiences.

Working closely with our CEO and wider leadership team, you'll have direct exposure to some of the most exciting companies, investors, healthcare leaders and innovators shaping the future of healthcare.

Role Description/ What you'll Do.

As Conference Producer, you'll take ownership of the programme from the earliest research stage through to execution on-site.

  • Own the end-to-end conference programme across MedTech World's international events, from initial research and agenda development through speaker confirmation and on-site delivery.
  • Research the latest developments across MedTech, HealthTech, digital health, AI, medical devices, biotechnology, healthcare systems and investment to identify the conversations our audiences need to hear.
  • Develop compelling conference themes, tracks, panel discussions, fireside chats, keynotes and new content formats.
  • Identify and recruit high-calibre speakers including CEOs, founders, investors, clinicians, hospital executives, corporate leaders, academics and policymakers.
  • Lead speaker outreach, invitations and follow-ups, building genuine long-term relationships rather than treating speakers as one-off event participants.
  • Carefully curate panels, ensuring the right balance of expertise, geography, perspectives and personalities on stage.
  • Help with writing strong session titles, descriptions, speaker briefs, moderator notes and agenda copy.
  • Prepare speakers and moderators ahead of each event so conversations are focused, engaging and valuable to the audience.
  • Maintain accurate speaker pipelines, programme schedules, confirmations and deadlines across multiple international events simultaneously.
  • Work closely with our partnerships team to integrate sponsored content while protecting the quality and credibility of the overall programme.
  • Collaborate with our marketing and media teams to identify speakers, sessions and stories that can become interviews, articles, social content and wider campaigns.
  • Work closely with operations and production teams to ensure the programme translates seamlessly from the agenda document to the stage.
  • Be present on-site at our international summits, managing speakers, troubleshooting programme changes and helping ensure every session runs successfully.
  • Where appropriate, moderate panels, conduct interviews or host conversations yourself.
  • Analyse feedback and programme performance after each event and continuously improve our content strategy.
  • Develop new ideas for Investor Forums, CEO gatherings, workshops, roundtables, retreats and other executive formats beyond the traditional conference stage.
  • Build and maintain a strong international network of potential speakers and contributors across the healthcare innovation ecosystem.

Location:

Remote. Open to candidates across Europe, provided they are eligible to work in their country of residence. Relocation to our Malta HQ is also welcomed and supported.

What We're Looking For?

We're looking for someone who combines curiosity, commercial awareness, editorial judgement and exceptional organisation. You should be comfortable spending the morning researching an emerging healthcare technology, the afternoon speaking with a global CEO or investor, and still making sure dozens of speaker confirmations and programme deadlines are moving forward.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Previous experience in conference production, agenda development, content production, journalism, research or a similar role.
  • A strong interest in healthcare, technology, entrepreneurship and investment.
  • Excellent research skills and the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar or technically complex subjects.
  • Strong editorial judgement — knowing the difference between a topic that sounds interesting and one that will actually create a great conversation on stage.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Confidence communicating with senior executives, investors, clinicians, government representatives and international stakeholders.
  • Experience with speaker recruitment, outreach and relationship management.
  • Exceptional organisation and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage large numbers of speakers, deadlines and moving pieces across several international events simultaneously.
  • A proactive mentality — you don't wait to be told which speaker to contact or which topic to research next.
  • The ability to work quickly and calmly when agendas inevitably change.
  • Strong collaboration skills across production, marketing, partnerships, media and operations.
  • Comfort working independently and as part of a distributed international team.
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally for MedTech World summits and other key events throughout the year.

A background in Life Sciences, Medicine, Healthcare, Journalism, Communications, Business or Events is an advantage, but we're much more interested in your ability to research, think, communicate and execute.

What Success Looks Like?

Success in this role means building programmes that people genuinely want to attend.

It means securing speakers who elevate the MedTech World brand, identifying important conversations before they become obvious, and creating panels with genuine chemistry rather than simply impressive job titles.

It means speakers are confirmed, briefed and prepared well ahead of time — and that when inevitable last-minute changes happen, you're able to find solutions quickly. It also means developing relationships that extend beyond a single event, turning speakers and contributors into long-term members of the MedTech World ecosystem.

Ultimately, you'll help shape the voice of MedTech World across four global regions and build the conversations connecting our international community.

Why Join MedTech World?

  • Malta-based or remote

Our headquarters are in Malta, and we'd love to have you working alongside our team here. However, if you're not based in Malta, this role can also be performed remotely, with regular collaboration across our international team and travel to key MedTech World events.

  • Relocation support

If you'd like to relocate to Malta, we'll help make the transition easier, including shared temporary accommodation for your first two months.

  • Build something global

You'll help shape conferences across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia, with flagship gatherings in Malta, Dubai, West Palm Beach and Hong Kong.

  • Direct access & responsibility

You'll work closely with our CEO and senior leadership, with real ownership over the conversations, speakers and ideas that appear on MedTech World stages.

  • International exposure

You'll regularly interact with founders, investors, healthcare executives, multinational companies, clinicians and policymakers from around the world.

  • Travel the world

Your role may take you to MedTech World summits, roadshows, investor gatherings and other international events throughout the year.

  • Growth & ownership

MedTech World is still growing rapidly. You'll have the opportunity to build new formats, shape our global content strategy, take ownership and grow your responsibilities alongside the organisation.

  • Work & Wander

Eligible team members may extend selected business trips across our international hubs, combining remote working with time to explore the destination. T&Cs apply.

  • Flexible hours

Start your working day anytime between 07:30 and 09:00, with flexibility when working across international markets and time zones.

Ready to Shape the Conversations Driving the Future of Healthcare?

If you're driven by impact, excited by international travel, and ready to take on your events career to another level - we’d love to meet you.

Apply now and help bring the MedTech World vision to life.
