Role Description The Construction Engineer role at DOCNORD is a full-time remote position focused on supporting interior fit-out projects across Europe. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting construction drawings, preparing technical documentation, and coordinating with site managers and subcontractors to ensure compliant execution of drywall, ceilings, and partitioning works. The Construction Engineer will monitor construction progress, support inspections, and provide technical guidance on methods, materials, and use of heavy equipment to uphold quality, safety, and scheduling requirements. The role also involves identifying risks, proposing corrective actions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain adherence to project specifications and industry standards. Remote work will rely on digital tools and regular communication to ensure effective oversight and coordination.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Construction Engineering and Civil Engineering skills for interior fit-out and structural coordination.
- Candidates should possess skills in reading and developing Construction Drawings and technical documentation.
- Candidates should possess skills in Inspection, quality control, and compliance with safety and building standards.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Heavy Equipment usage and limitations in commercial, industrial, and shipbuilding environments.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in interior fit-out, drywall systems, suspended ceilings, or partitioning projects is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency with CAD or BIM tools and common construction management software is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, and remote collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
