Our client, a leading Irish law firm ranked top tier across the international legal directories, is looking for an experienced construction lawyer to join its market-leading Construction & Engineering team in Dublin. As one of the largest construction teams in the Irish market, it works on the country’s biggest and most complex projects, from major public infrastructure to data centres, life sciences facilities and large-scale residential and commercial developments.

What you’ll be doing

  • Advising developers, contractors, funders, public authorities and international investors through the full project lifecycle
  • Working across public and utility infrastructure, data centres, pharma and life sciences manufacturing, energy and mixed-use development
  • Advising on project structures, procurement and mid-stream issues such as extensions of time, variations and claims
  • Drafting and negotiating bespoke and standard-form contracts, consultant appointments, sub-contracts and collateral warranties
  • Handling the construction elements of development financing, forward funding and M&A transactions
  • Helping clients resolve disputes early, including through mediation, conciliation and adjudication
  • Collaborating closely with the Planning, Real Estate, Finance and Energy teams

What you’ll bring

  • 4+ years’ PQE gained in a leading law firm or in-house team
  • Strong construction, infrastructure or major projects experience
  • Confident drafting and negotiation of standard forms such as RIAI, NEC, FIDIC, JCT and the Irish public works contracts
  • Excellent client relationship skills and a collaborative, team-first approach
  • An interest in mentoring and developing junior lawyers

Why apply

  • Landmark Irish projects of national significance
  • Broad, varied work with real cross-departmental exposure
  • A highly regarded team with strong all-island capability
  • Hybrid working and a supportive culture
