We are looking for a strategic, collaborative, and results-driven Construction & Engineering Sourcing Manager to join our Procurement team, this hybrid position is based in our Atlanta, Georgia, United States office.
About the role
As Construction & Engineering Sourcing Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting major capital investment projects by leading sourcing activities for construction, engineering, commissioning, qualification, and related services. You will drive strategic procurement initiatives, negotiate complex supplier agreements, and help ensure successful project execution while maximizing value, mitigating risk, and supporting UCB's continued growth and competitiveness.
Who you'll work with
You will work closely with UCB's Investment & Infrastructure Procurement team, project leaders, engineering teams, external suppliers, and key business stakeholders. Together, you will support major capital programs, develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier performance, and deliver procurement solutions that contribute to business objectives and project success.
What you'll do
- Lead sourcing activities for construction, engineering, and capital project services.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for major capital investments.
- Manage supplier qualification, due diligence, and competitive bidding processes.
- Negotiate contracts that optimize value while minimizing commercial risk.
- Evaluate supplier proposals and support sourcing decisions for complex projects.
- Build strong partnerships with stakeholders and strategic suppliers.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, MBA preferred, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain.
- 5+ years supporting major capital projects and sourcing activities.
- Experience sourcing construction and engineering services.
- Contract negotiation and supplier management experience.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel up to 35% as business needs require.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience supporting capital projects exceeding $500 million.
- Experience sourcing capital equipment and commissioning/qualification services.
- Professional procurement certification preferred.
- Strong analytical, risk management, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Advanced negotiation and influencing skills.
- Experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated industries.
This positions reasonably anticipated base salary range is $148,000-$194,300 . The actual salary offered will take into account related knowledge, skills, experience and location among other factors and may fall outside the expected range.
