We are hiring a senior Construction Estimator specializing in Mechanical & Plumbing (MEP) trades to join our client's estimating team.

In this role, you will perform high-volume quantity takeoffs for ductwork, piping, plumbing systems, and insulation applications across commercial and residential U.S. projects. You will work on a backlog of active jobs, reading construction drawings ranging from minimal filing sets to 100% CD sets, and utilizing digital takeoff software (FastWRAP) alongside advanced Excel models. This is an ideal position for Mechanical, Civil Engineers, or Architects in LATAM with strong technical blueprint reading skills and extensive experience in MEP estimating.

What You’ll Do

• Read and interpret mechanical and plumbing (MEP) construction drawings to define scope requirements accurately.
• Perform precise quantity takeoffs for ductwork, piping, plumbing, and mechanical insulation (linear feet, square feet, surface areas).
• Utilize proprietary digital takeoff software (FastWRAP) to extract, organize, and calculate material quantities daily.
• Transfer takeoff quantities into internal Excel spreadsheets for pricing, cost modeling, and proposal preparation.
• Manage a high-volume backlog of approximately 30 active estimating projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Adapt calculations across various design completion stages, from minimal filing sets to complete 100% construction documents.
• Identify drawing discrepancies or scope uncertainties and communicate them proactively to the Estimating Lead.
• Maintain consistency and high precision in all material calculations to minimize rework and revisions.

What You’ll Bring

• English Level: Advanced Technical & Conversational English (B2+ / C1 mandatory).
• Experience: 3 to 5+ years of experience in construction estimating, quantity takeoffs, or cost engineering for MEP trades.
• Trade Specialization: Solid background performing material takeoffs for mechanical systems, ductwork, piping, plumbing, or insulation.
• Blueprint Reading: Exceptional ability to read architectural, mechanical, and plumbing construction drawings.
• Software Proficiency: FastWRAP (or strong experience with digital takeoff tools like Planswift, Bluebeam, On-Center) and Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related construction field.
