Job Description This is a remote position. About Teams Squared: We are a team augmentation company dedicated to connecting exceptional remote talent with global organizations. Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Lawyer to support our client’s legal and contracting needs. The ideal candidate will have deep experience working with construction law, including reviewing and negotiating construction contracts, advising on disputes, risk management, and regulatory compliance. You will be embedded within the client’s legal team and expected to operate as a seamless extension of their in-house counsel. Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts including EPC, design-build, subcontractor agreements, and consultancy agreements. Advise stakeholders on construction-related claims, change orders, delay disputes, and termination issues. Assist with project risk assessment and risk mitigation strategies throughout the construction lifecycle. Ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and local construction regulations and licensing requirements. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and external counsel as needed. Support dispute resolution including litigation or arbitration proceedings when necessary. Requirements Undergraduate degree in Law; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Construction Lawyer. Experience working with APAC-based clients or projects is highly desirable. Strong understanding of construction law and industry practices. Solid understanding of standard construction contracts, including AS 4000, D&C, EPC, and bespoke agreements. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment. Experience advising on large-scale infrastructure or commercial projects.
