Construction Project Manager

Location: 100% Remote (U.S.-based projects) Employment Type: Full-time IC Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST (40 hours/week)

About The Company

We are a rapidly growing, U.S.-based, fully remote development and construction firm. Our work spans the full project lifecycle — site feasibility, entitlements, design coordination, permitting, pre-construction, procurement, and Owner's Representative services — with a consistent focus on quality, cost control, schedule discipline, and code compliance.

We operate as a small, dynamic team where individual ownership carries real weight. People here manage projects, not tasks, and are trusted to make decisions and drive outcomes without heavy oversight.

About The Role

As we take on more projects, we need a dedicated Project Manager to own the coordination that keeps them moving. This person is the connective tissue between the owner, our team, the general contractor, subcontractors, and vendors — the point of contact who catches problems early, drives decisions, and keeps scope, schedule, and budget aligned from pre-construction through completion.

This role exists because our projects have outgrown ad hoc coordination. We're looking for someone who can step in, take ownership, and run the day-to-day so leadership can stay focused on growth.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead project coordination from pre-construction through construction, keeping scope, schedule, and priorities aligned
  • Run project meetings, set action items, and ensure decisions and commitments are followed through
  • Identify problems early, coordinate solutions across the right parties, and keep projects moving

Stakeholder & Client Communication

  • Serve as the central point of contact between the owner, our team, GC, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Communicate project status, risks, and decisions clearly and proactively to clients and ownership

Project Controls & Documentation

  • Manage project information and workflows, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting across the project lifecycle

Budget & Schedule Management

  • Track and manage project budgets, estimates, and costs; flag variances and forecast implications early
  • Develop, monitor, and report on project schedules; drive corrective action when timelines slip

Procurement & Owner-Furnished Items

  • Support the owner with procurement and coordination of owner-furnished materials, equipment, and long-lead items
  • Coordinate vendor deliverables and timelines against the construction schedule

Risk, Compliance & Issue Resolution

  • Review project issues, proposals, and changes; coordinate with the appropriate parties to drive timely, practical resolutions
  • Support compliance with applicable U.S. building codes and construction standards throughout the project

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in project management, construction, engineering, or development (this is a mid-level role; we are not seeking senior-level candidates)
  • Experience on construction and/or development projects in the United States
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and project workflows
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and construction trades
  • Working knowledge of U.S. building codes and construction standards
  • Experience with project budgets, estimating, and cost management
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English (C1 or higher)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency with project management and construction software (e.g., Procore, ClickUp, MS Project, or equivalent)
  • Ability to read, navigate, and interpret construction drawings fluently in Revit and AutoCAD (hands-on modeling or drafting is not required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Owner's Representative services
  • Experience with procurement and vendor coordination
  • Exposure to entitlements, permitting, or pre-construction phases

Ideal Candidate Profile

You are highly organized, proactive, and resourceful. You take ownership of what lands on your desk and move it forward without waiting to be asked. You're comfortable being the person everyone else coordinates through — architects, engineers, GCs, subs, vendors, and owners — and you keep your composure when several projects need you at once. You communicate clearly and directly, you're solution-oriented when problems surface, and you're at home in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment where your judgment is trusted.

Why Join Us

  • 100% remote, working directly on U.S. projects
  • Real ownership and visibility on a small, growing team
  • Opportunities for professional growth as the company scales
  • 10 vacation days, 7 sick days, plus time off for select U.S. federal and local holidays
  • Collaborative, supportive work environment
