You have taken data centers from bare ground to live load. Now take the whole journey, from first budget to final handover.
Our client is a leading provider of enterprise-class data center services, built around one promise: 100% uptime. They are hiring a Construction Project Manager to deliver the facilities behind it, reporting to the Director of Construction a remote role with travel of up to 60% to get the projects over the line!
What you will own
- Full lifecycle delivery, from planning and budget through design, build, start-up and commissioning
- Several projects at once, on time, on budget and to company design standards
- Greenfield new builds and major phased expansions
- The people who deliver: architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors and OEMs
- RFP and buyout, including bid evaluation, negotiation and contractor selection
- Budgets, change orders, schedules and Procore reporting
- Safe sites alongside EHS, and a clean handover to facility operations
What success looks like
Projects land on schedule and on budget. Quality meets design standards. Stakeholders hear about risk early, not late. Operations inherit a facility that is ready to run.
What we need from you
- 10+ years leading data center construction projects
- A bachelor’s degree, and a strong technical background in engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong MEP and trades knowledge, and confidence reading drawings, specifications, schematics and sequences of operation
- Scheduling in MS Project or Primavera P6, with DCMA 14 or similar
- Familiarity with Procore, MOPs, NETA standards, BMS and EPMS, access control and CCTV, and LV and network systems
- Exceptional organisation, and the ability to explain complex issues to non-technical stakeholders
- Readiness to travel 50 to 60% of the time across regions, and comfort on active construction sites
What you get
A base salary of $175,000 to $195,000, a full-time remote role, and real ownership of projects from start to finish. Benefits include health, dental and vision cover, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, 401k with company match, three weeks’ paid time off and paid holidays.
