The business
We’re an AI-native, human-led business built to help clients reimagine, reinvent, and lead their markets into the AI era. We bring the imagination, intellect and market insight, execution smarts, and adaptive approach to collaboration required to help leaders deliver real change.
Through our consulting practice, we work with clients in central Government, health and care, education – and increasingly with enterprise clients – across a combination of sophisticated strategy, innovation, transformation, and capability-building engagements.
Through A WORKS we collaborate with thought leaders, innovators, and AI-specialist developers to tackle the biggest problems we face in public service, health and education – setting aside the consulting commercial model to work in whatever ways best solve the problem.
In partnership with our AI-specialist development team, we’re building innovative new tools that will transform our clients’ organisations and customer experiences – some for clients on a consulting basis, some through A WORKS that we will take to market as products.
We are a business powered by the passion, grit, insight, intellect, and execution-smarts of our people: a tightly knit team of market experts, willing to challenge market convention, and our colleagues, in pursuit of the transformational change we believe is possible.
We’re looking to hire a new colleague at the consultant level, if you’re interested in being part of our journey with us, please get in touch.
Role specification
Consultant is the level at which colleagues work autonomously to take forward substantial work packages, with guidance and support from their engagement leads. They have a strong core consulting skillset and can confidently prepare high quality deliverables.
Consultants willingly support the firm’s marketing and sales effort, whilst building the network and sector insight required to support their development and progression within the firm. Consultants typically join us with more than three years of relevant experience.
For this role we’re looking for colleagues who share our values and our high expectations of everything we do. We’d love to hear from colleagues with experience in strategy, policy, project management / delivery in particular.
Expertise in education, health and social care, or digital would be welcome – though we’re also keen to hear from colleagues who aren’t experts in those sectors, but who do have experience working in / around public policy and service delivery in any other.
In this role it is expected that you will:
• Demonstrate high levels of ambition, energy and resilience, consistent with the firm’s plans for future diversification and growth – and the implications of that trajectory for the role.
• Have experience and enjoyment working in an acutely entrepreneurial, commercial and creative organisational context to drive performance and growth.
• Have experience delivering against complex client needs and to a scoped brief in areas such as strategy development, operational delivery, change and transformation, and commercial deals.
• Bring either domain expertise, or demonstrable interest, in public services such that you are confident delivering work in and understanding challenges and opportunities in these areas.
• Demonstrate strong communication and people management skills – both with clients and stakeholders, and internally working across dynamic, matrix, structures.
• Take real ownership of your own development through formal training, collaboration with colleagues in your client engagements and beyond. Our culture is one which fosters open, supportive, learning within the team.
• Consistently act in a manner consistent with our values, which are: ambition; authenticity; collaboration; commerciality; and candour.
