Summary

Supports assigned processes or programs and delivers quality results for small to mid-sized, less complex clients, accounts, projects, analyses, or internal relationships related to alternative asset classes, including hedge funds. Works independently in straightforward situations, using job knowledge, technical experience, and judgment to analyze options, solve problems, and complete work within guidelines and policies. Understands key business drivers, collaborates with peers and managers, and may provide informal guidance to newer team members while supporting data management, performance reporting, and compliance with applicable regulations



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Completes assigned hedge fund servicing processes or programs accurately and on time by applying established guidelines, policies, procedures, and priorities.
2. Supports small to mid-sized, less complex clients, accounts, projects, analyses, or internal relationships within alternative asset services.
3. Analyzes operational, data, performance, or reporting information and evaluates possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedent.
4. Monitors progress against timelines and expectations, communicates updates, and coordinates with peers and immediate managers to support timely hedge fund service delivery.
5. Applies understanding of key business drivers and functional objectives to support accurate data management, performance reporting, and operational execution.
6. Reviews data, documents, transactions, reconciliations, or project activities for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and adherence to established controls.
7. Contributes to team performance by sharing information, coordinating activities, and following through on deliverables that support hedge fund servicing outcomes.
8. Builds tactical working relationships with peers, immediate managers, and related teams, with some exposure to senior staff as needed.
9. Identifies opportunities to improve workflows or existing processes and supports practical solutions that enhance efficiency, consistency, control, or service quality.
10. May provide informal guidance to new team members on processes, tools, and day-to-day work while remaining accountable for individual contributions.
11. Performs all duties according to established policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.



KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
• Expanded conceptual knowledge of principles, practices, procedures, and systems within own job discipline.
• Ability to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing options and applying technical experience, judgment, and precedent.
• Understanding of key business drivers and how own work supports team, functional, or client objectives.
• Ability to influence timelines, expectations, and work outcomes within the function through effective coordination and follow-through.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities within established guidelines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for building tactical relationships with peers, immediate managers, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently on assigned responsibilities while collaborating effectively with others across the team or function.
• Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and support implementation of practical, policy-aligned solutions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and other job-related systems used to support processes, programs, and reporting.



EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s/University degree required. Typically 3+ years of relevant experience. Equivalent experience and any role-specific certifications or licenses may be considered where applicable.

Salary Range:

$70,490 - 119,890 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
