We're looking for an experienced Consultant to join our Professional Services team, based in Singapore as part of a global team supporting projects across APJ. This client-facing role requires expertise in Cohesity Data Protect or NetBackup. and a proven track record delivering solutions in VMware and cloud environments. You'll work closely with customers, engineering, systems engineering, support, and customer success teams to design, deploy, and optimize backup and recovery solutions to meet business goals.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE

Client Engagement & Solution Design

• Partnering closely with presales and delivery teams to meet customers’ requirements

• Design tailored backup and recovery architectures using Cohesity Data Protect or NetBackup, working with product, product management, and engineering teams to align capabilities with customer needs.

• Run technical workshops and present architecture recommendations, sizing, deployment strategies, and risks to technical and executive stakeholders.

Implementation & Optimization

• Lead deployment, configuration, and optimization of Cohesity Data Protect environments, integrating with Windows, Linux, VMware, and cloud/hybrid cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Design and deploy backup strategies for containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker) for clients modernizing their infrastructure.

• Troubleshoot advanced technical issues post-sales and during deployment, and proactively optimize client environments for reliability and efficiency.

• Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and compliance standards.

Delivery

• Deliver timely technical support and project documentation (architecture designs, configuration guides, operational best practices), keeping projects on scope, time, and budget.

• Share field feedback with Product Management and Engineering on deployment challenges, feature gaps, and customer requirements.

• Train and mentor client teams for smooth handover and knowledge transfer.

• Travel outside the region as needed.

• Ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and support decision-making.

• Hands-on expertise in Windows and Linux administration.

• Working knowledge across: databases (Oracle, SQL, MongoDB, SAP); storage (NAS, SAN, Object Storage, NFS, SMB, S3); networking (IP planning, VLANs, routing, firewalls, load balancing, DNS, NTP, MTU, multisite); compute/virtualization (VMware, vSphere/vCenter, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, OpenShift); security (AD, LDAP, SSO, MFA, RBAC, least-privilege access, key management, encryption, ransomware recovery); and cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, archival, recovery patterns, hybrid cloud).

• Experience with data protection, data security, data management, disaster recovery/business continuity, and database protection and recovery.

• Scripting/automation experience (Python, Ansible, ServiceNow).

• Strong client communication, relationship-building, and troubleshooting/analytical skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

• Hands-on experience with Cohesity Data Protect or NetBackup in a professional services or client-facing role; prior consulting experience.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware, AWS, Azure)

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field with at least 5 years of professional services experience.

• Fluent spoken and written English, Mandarin, conversational Japanese and/or Korean as you will be handling customers in North Asia.

• 50% of domestic and regional travel required.

• Ability to clear Singapore Government security clearance for handling classified information.

In-Office Expectations

Cohesity employees who are within a reasonable commute (e.g. within a forty-five (45) minute average travel time) work out of our core offices 2-3 days a week of their choosing.
