The role

As a self-employed Consultant Psychiatrist, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering timely, accurate diagnoses and shaping personalised care plans.

You’ll work autonomously within a supportive, expert multidisciplinary team, bringing your clinical judgment and empathy to every assessment.

What we ask you to do

• Conduct thorough ADHD assessments for adults and young people, considering co-occurring or differential diagnoses

• Use your clinical expertise to make diagnostic decisions and develop tailored treatment plans

• Collaborate in regular clinical supervision, team discussions, and case reviews

• Maintain clear, professional records and complete timely reports

• Identify and recommend additional assessments or interventions where needed

• Contribute to the development of our clinical pathways

• Share your knowledge by mentoring and training colleagues

What you will need to be successful

You will have extensive clinical experience in General Adult Mental Health Services, with a broad diagnostic knowledge and additional specialised experience in ND assessments (training and clinical experience.)

• Medical degree with a postgraduate qualification (MRCPsych or equivalent)

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practice

• Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Adult Psychiatry

• Minimum of two years post-CCT practice in General Adult psychiatry

• Experience working autonomously within multidisciplinary clinical services

• Good understanding of clinical governance frameworks and regulatory requirements in mental health services

• In-depth knowledge of evidence-based assessment and diagnosis of ADHD and ASD and other general adult conditions

• Ability to adapt to digital remote clinical service delivery models
