o operational readiness and transition planning

  • Prepare technical analyses, reports, presentations and client deliverables.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders, including transport agencies, rail operators and infrastructure owners.
  • Support the planning and delivery of consultancy assignments, including project coordination, scope development and programme management.
  • Undertake research, data analysis and modelling to inform operational and strategic recommendations.
  • Assist with proposal preparation, business development activities and identifying opportunities to support existing and future clients.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders and project partners.

This role is well suited to a rail professional with several years of experience in rail operations, planning, engineering or advisory services who is looking to further develop their consulting career and work on some of the region's most significant transport projects.

About you

  • Experience with railway operations simulation tools (such as RailSys or OpenTrack) would be highly regarded. Exposure to test and commissioning, systems integration, or modern signalling systems (including ETCS) would also be advantageous.
  • Interest in developing consulting, stakeholder engagement and business development skills within a supportive team environment.
  • Ability to manage priorities and deliver high-quality technical outputs across multiple projects, often within tight timeframes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and develop practical recommendations.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
