Position Summary

We’re looking for a self-motivated, high energy Junior Bookkeper. The Junior Bookkeper responsibilities include processing of A/P, A/R, payroll and light month-end closing tasks, as well as other entry level accounting related functions as requested. The right individual for this position will be able to successfully prioritize and manage multiple customer needs, while maintaining and delivering a high level of accuracy and professionalism. This role requires a strong command of both written and spoken English. This role will regularly meet with and communicate via email and chat with native English speakers in the USA.

Position Duties & Responsibilities

• Processes accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense reports following predetermined guidelines
• Accurate and timely data entry that adheres to customer deadlines
• Maintain process documentation
• Assist with light bookkeeping work as needed

Requirements

• Excellent command / highly proficient in spoken and written English. Must be able to carry on business conversations and work directly with small business owners and their teams in the US independently
• Excellent time management skills, demonstrated ability to handle multiple customer accounts simultaneously and thrive on deadlines
• Must be able to communicate positively and be a strong team player as well as manage customer relationships
• Exceptional attention to details with an independent strong work ethic capable of completing assigned task with minimal oversight
• Willingness to work additional hours when demand spikes
• Deliver exceptional customer service by taking a customer 1st approach and dedicated service 1st mentality that deepens customer trust
• Willing to ask the WHY, be proactive and propose new ways of improving a process to Accounting Supervisor and Local Contact
• Must be able to overlap USA time zones as needed
• Must have a PC with Windows 10 software with a camera, mic, and speakers to be able to have video calls
