Show job description

Stratus, deriving from the Latin term meaning 'layer', offers an advanced set of MEP specific solutions that seamlessly layer across a contractor's entire workflow from design to fabrication to installation. Our team of seasoned industry experts, skilled technology leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs understands that fabrication does not occur in isolation, and increasingly, it may not happen within your own fabrication shop. Through close relationships with our customers—who include some of the most innovative and largest MEP contractors—we have developed a suite of Stratus tools to digitize, automate, and optimize piping, plumbing, sheet metal, and electrical contracting. Stratus provides the software layer an MEP Contractor needs to optimize profits with true "Data Driven Contracting."

The Content and Brand Manager is a brand creator and storyteller: you'll shape how Stratus shows up and sounds across social, video and written content, and turn our customers' stories into content that stops the scroll. You'll help roll out our new positioning, produce customer video stories, and give Product Marketing and sales the one-pagers and decks they need to tell a consistent story.

This is a remote role based in the US with occasional travel.

What you'll do

  • Social media: Manage our social channels, including planning, writing, scheduling, and engaging with the community, and report on performance.
  • Rebrand positioning: Help shape and roll out new brand positioning, and make sure it carries through website, social, video, and sales content.
  • Brand tone and voice: Work with Product Marketing to document and maintain our tone of voice, and keep content consistent with it.
  • AI-assisted production: Use AI to turn raw customer footage and transcripts into clips, posts and assets in every shape and size, then add the creative edge that makes them unmistakably Stratus.
  • Video production: Travel on-site for customer video shoots; write scripts, interview customers on camera, and direct and manage the videographer from planning through final edit.
  • One-pagers and collateral: Create one-pagers and other sales and marketing materials with Product Marketing.
  • Speaking sessions: Help build and polish presentation decks for conferences and speaking sessions.
  • Content planning: Maintain a content calendar and look for ways to reuse each piece across channels.

What we're looking for

  • 4-6 years in content, brand, or social media (B2B or B2C).
  • Brand creator and storyteller: you can show work where you built or shaped a brand voice and told stories people remember. Portfolios, links and examples welcome.
  • Scrappy and bold: you take ownership, ship quickly, and aren't afraid to post something unexpected.
  • Experience planning and running video shoots, including scripting, interviewing, and managing freelance or agency videographers.
  • Fluent in AI tools: you use them daily to turn raw footage and transcripts into clips, posts and assets in every format, and you know how to take an AI draft and make it better.
  • Skilled at presentation storytelling and clear, well-designed decks.
  • Comfortable collaborating with Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, design, and sales, and managing several projects at once.
  • Willing to travel for shoots; social scheduling and analytics tools experience is a plus.

Success in the first year looks like

  • A consistent social presence with a steady posting cadence and growing engagement.
  • Documented brand voice and positioning applied across core content.
  • A library of customer videos produced on schedule and on budget.
  • A repeatable workflow that turns each customer video into a week of content across channels.
  • A current set of one-pagers and speaking decks that sales and executives use.
