About the Role

H&R Block is seeking a motivated, highly organized Content Coordinator, SEO & AEO to help create, manage, and publish useful content that answers the questions consumers are asking about taxes, money, and their financial lives.

Part writer and part project manager, this role will turn editorial priorities and search insights into clear, engaging content designed to be discovered across search engines, AI-assisted experiences, and digital platforms. This person will help move content from idea to publication, coordinating with subject matter experts, Legal, Compliance, social media partners, and other stakeholders to deliver accurate, high-quality work efficiently.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer and natural organizer who is curious about changing search behaviors, comfortable working with AI-enabled tools, and energized by turning plans into finished work.

Day to day, you'll...

  • Write clear, helpful, and engaging articles informed by consumer questions, editorial priorities, and SEO and AEO opportunities.
  • Translate complex tax and financial topics into content that is accessible and useful to everyday consumers.
  • Apply SEO and AEO best practices to inform content structure, ensure relevance, and enable discoverability.
  • Use approved AI-enabled tools to support research, ideation, drafting, and content optimization.
  • Maintain H&R Block’s brand voice, editorial standards, and commitment to accuracy.
  • Collaborate with social media and production partners to adapt editorial content for additional platforms and formats.
  • Identify opportunities to extend the value of strong content through platform-appropriate versions and supporting assets.
  • Manage multiple content assignments through various stages of development, coordinating timelines, reviews, approvals, and publishing milestones while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Prepare and publish approved content across designated platforms, ensuring it is accurate, complete, properly formatted, and delivered according to schedule.
  • Use performance insights, evolving SEO and AEO practices, team learnings to improve future content.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in content marketing, editorial content, digital publishing, SEO writing, communications, or a related discipline
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills
  • Foundational understanding of writing for digital audiences and search discoverability
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, deadlines, stakeholders, and rounds of feedback
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
  • Comfort learning and using AI-enabled content tools responsibly
  • Collaborative, proactive working style with the ability to follow through without requiring continual direction

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience writing or editing SEO-informed articles, educational content, or consumer-facing digital content
  • Familiarity with SEO fundamentals, including search intent, keywords, headings, metadata, internal linking, and content structure
  • Exposure to AEO, AI-assisted search, generative AI, or structured content practices
  • Experience using a content management system or digital publishing platform
  • Experience coordinating content through formal review and approval processes
  • Familiarity with analytics, keyword research, editorial workflow, and project-management tools
  • Interest in tax, personal finance, and consumer education content

Pay Range Information

The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan.

Pay Range

$62,800.00 - $94,200.00/Yr.
