Content Creator
Company: Zoa Group
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Location: Hybrid, with three days a week in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, and remaining days remote. At least two days a month at our warehouse location in Corby, Northamptonshire to shoot content.
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Reporting to: Head of Marketing
About Zoa Group
Zoa Group brings together leading circular economy brands, helping more products find their next owner or user through resale and rental. Our brands include Thrift+, Hirestreet, Wowzer and Reuseabook, each with its own audience, personality and customer journey.
Initially, your work will focus on Thrift+ and Hirestreet, with Wowzer and Reuseabook joining the content programme as their requirements develop.
Working across the group offers the variety of industry and content creation style. You’ll explore different products, audiences and creative approaches while being part of one team and seeing the longer-term impact of your work.
About the role
You’ll own content creation across the group, developing ideas, planning shoots, getting behind and in front of the camera, and editing your work into finished content.
Your output will include short-form organic social videos, paid social ad creative, photography and static content. You’ll adapt your approach to each brand while keeping a clear focus on what the content needs to achieve.
You’ll report to the Head of Marketing and bring your ideas forward for discussion. Together, you’ll refine the concepts and agree priorities before you take responsibility for execution.
We’re looking for someone who can manage the process from idea to finished asset, organise their own workload and consistently deliver strong work. Each piece of content will be created in keeping with the brand's guidelines, representing at least one of the core content pillars.
Your initial focus
You’ll begin with a focused project for Thrift+, developing content ideas, establishing repeatable formats and building a consistent production and delivery schedule.
Once a reliable content cadence is in place for Thrift+, you’ll extend your work to Hirestreet. Wowzer and Reuseabook will follow as their content requirements come into scope.
You’ll agree priorities and timings with the Head of Marketing, building a sustainable content programme as each brand is introduced.
What you’ll do
- Develop content ideas informed by audience interests, brand priorities, trends and previous performance.
- Bring concepts and recommendations to the Head of Marketing, then develop agreed ideas into finished content.
- Plan out the key dates for the annual content calendar
- Plan and execute the monthly content calendar
- Plan and shoot short-form video for organic social channels and paid advertising.
- Edit your own footage, including hooks, pacing, captions, sound and calls to action.
- Confidently appear on camera, present products and explain our services in a natural, engaging way.
- Photograph products, people and behind-the-scenes activity, and create static assets for social and advertising.
- Find stories within our warehouses, products, teams and customer experiences.
- Adapt content for different brands, audiences, platforms and formats as the programme expands.
- Create alternative hooks, edits and messaging to test what performs best.
- Analyse the performance of your videos, including retention curves, watch time, completion rates, engagement and click-through.
- Identify where viewers lose interest or drop off, and use those insights to improve hooks, pacing, structure, length and calls to action.
- Turn those findings into new edits and content ideas, testing and refining your approach to improve audience retention and commercial results.
- Manage shoot planning, asset organisation and delivery deadlines.
What we’re looking for
- Practical experience creating content for a brand, business or your own established channels, supported by a strong portfolio.
- Proficiency in both shooting and editing, with the ability to produce finished content independently.
- A strong understanding of short-form video, including what earns attention and keeps people watching.
- The ability to create both organic social content and paid social ad creative, understanding their different objectives.
- Confidence appearing on camera and presenting.
- Strong photography skills and an eye for composition, lighting and visual storytelling.
- Understanding of trends and an ability to adapt them to fit our brands.
- Commercial awareness: you understand how content can encourage someone to visit a website, buy a product, rent an outfit or start a subscription.
- Strong organisation and the ability to manage priorities across several brands.
- A proactive approach, bringing ideas and solutions without waiting for a detailed brief.
- Proficiency in CapCut or similar software such as Da Vinci or Premiere Pro.
- Ability to use mics and lighting where required.
- Comfortable editing in social Apps (TikTok, Edits, Instagram) where trending audio or video performance will benefit
Nice to have
Experience in fashion, resale, rental, retail or circular businesses would be valuable. We’re most interested in the quality of your work, your contribution to it and what you’ve learned from the results.
How we’ll measure success
We want content that builds our audiences and helps turn interest into action.
We’ll assess your work through audience growth, meaningful engagement, website click-through and contribution to sales, rentals and subscriptions. You’ll work with the Head of Marketing to understand performance, identify what’s working and improve the next round of content.
Working arrangement
This is a permanent, full-time role with three days a week based in Cheltenham and the remaining days working remotely, alongside at least two days a month at our warehouse in Corby.
Travel to Corby will be paid for by the business. Your usual travel to Cheltenham will be at your own expense.
You should be based within practical travelling distance of Cheltenham and able to attend Corby regularly.
How to apply

Include:
- Three examples of content you have created, explaining your involvement in the idea, shooting, editing and presenting.
- Any available performance results, particularly audience growth, engagement, website traffic or conversions.

- Please also confirm your location, notice period and salary expectations.
