Stichting Secu is a Netherlands-based non-profit organization dedicated to fostering social cohesion, intercultural dialogue, and active citizenship. Through educational, cultural, and community-based initiatives, we bring together people from diverse backgrounds to promote mutual understanding, inclusion, and meaningful participation in society.

Working closely with volunteers, local communities, public institutions, and civil society organizations, Stichting Secu develops projects that strengthen social connections, encourage dialogue, and contribute to a more inclusive and peaceful society.

1. IT Stream

The role will support Stichting Secu's digital infrastructure, online presence, and technological development.

Web Team Tasks

• Maintaining and updating website content

• Supporting website design and user experience improvements

• Uploading articles, news, project updates, and event information

• Assisting with website optimization and accessibility

Admin IT Team Tasks

• Managing IT services and user accounts

• Providing technical support to volunteers and team members

• Assisting with cybersecurity and data protection practices

• Supporting digital collaboration tools and internal systems

The Stream seeks candidates with experience or interest in WordPress, web development, Microsoft 365 administration, IT support, computer science, and cybersecurity. Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills are highly valued.

2. Research & Journalism Stream

The role will support Stichting Secu's research, publications, and storytelling initiatives related to social cohesion, community engagement, intercultural dialogue, education, and active citizenship.

Articles Team Tasks

• Researching current social and community issues

• Writing articles highlighting successful community initiatives and dialogue projects

• Conducting interviews with volunteers, community leaders, and project participants

• Producing engaging content for publication on Secu platforms

Research Team Tasks

• Monitoring social cohesion and integration initiatives in the Netherlands and Europe

• Conducting research on active citizenship, volunteerism, and intercultural dialogue

• Collecting and analyzing data from community projects and events

• Producing reports and policy-oriented research outputs

The Stream seeks candidates with strong research, writing, editing, and analytical skills. Experience in social sciences, journalism, community development, education, public policy, or related fields is an advantage.

3. Communications & Creativity Stream

The role will support all external communications, public relations, and creative content initiatives of Stichting Secu.

Social Media Team Tasks

• Managing Stichting Secu's social media channels

• Developing content calendars and engagement campaigns

• Promoting events, projects, and volunteer opportunities

Newsletter Team Tasks

• Creating and distributing newsletters

• Collecting stories and updates from projects and activities

• Supporting audience engagement initiatives

Media Team Tasks

• Producing multimedia content, including videos, graphics, and photography

• Supporting event coverage and community storytelling

Press & Public Relations Team Tasks

• Drafting press releases and media materials

• Building relationships with local media and community partners

• Preparing communication materials for campaigns and events

The Stream seeks candidates with experience or interest in communication, content creation, graphic design, public relations, social media management, videography, photography, or digital marketing.

4. Projects Stream

The role will support Stichting Secu's community projects, educational initiatives, intercultural dialogue programs, and partnership activities.

Community Engagement Team Tasks

• Supporting the organization of community events and dialogue activities

• Assisting with volunteer coordination and participant engagement

• Building relationships with community partners and stakeholders

Partnerships Team Tasks

• Identifying collaboration opportunities with civil society organizations, schools, municipalities, and community groups

• Supporting partnership development and stakeholder communication

Project Development Team Tasks

• Assisting in the preparation of project proposals and funding applications

• Supporting the implementation and evaluation of social and educational projects

• Conducting research for new initiatives and community programs

The Stream seeks proactive candidates with strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills who are passionate about community development, intercultural dialogue, and social impact.
