The Content Marketing Executive develops and delivers content across the full marketing mix - web, blog, social media, email, video, and more. Working closely with the wider marketing team, they ensure every piece of content reflects the Bright brand, speaks to the audience's real challenges, and contributes to measurable business outcomes. The role reports to the Marketing Manager.

The role reports to the Marketing Manager.
What You'll Do
Content Strategy & Planning
- Content Planning: Developing and executing content marketing strategies aligned to marketing and commercial objectives, maintaining a structured content calendar across all channels.
- Research: Researching industry trends, audience needs, and competitor activity to inform content direction and identify opportunities.
- Collaboration: Working with the wider marketing team to keep content aligned to campaigns, brand messaging, and business priorities.
- Performance: Defining KPIs for content initiatives and tracking performance against them.
Content Creation & Optimisation
- Content Production: Creating compelling, high-quality content across formats — blog articles, website copy, social media, email newsletters, video scripts, infographics, and more.
- Brand Voice: Maintaining consistency in brand voice, style, and tone across all channels and content types.
- SEO: Optimising content for search engines — conducting keyword research and applying SEO best practice throughout.
- AI-Assisted Workflows: Using AI-powered tools to accelerate research, drafting, and content iteration — always applying editorial judgement to the output.
- Multimedia: Collaborating with designers, videographers, and other specialists to produce multimedia content.
Content Distribution & Promotion
- Distribution: Building distribution plans that maximise reach and engagement for each content asset across social, email, and partner channels.
- Community: Engaging with online communities, responding to conversations, and fostering genuine dialogue around Bright content.
- Trends: Staying current with content marketing trends, platform changes, and emerging channels.
Analytics & Reporting
- Analytics: Tracking, measuring, and analysing the performance of content marketing activity using tools such as Google Analytics.
- Reporting: Providing regular, clear performance updates on engagement, traffic, and lead generation to the marketing team and relevant stakeholders.
- Optimisation: Identifying what is working, diagnosing what is not, and recommending improvements based on data.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Proven experience in a content marketing or digital marketing role, ideally within a B2B or SaaS environment.
- Excellent writing skills. Able to adapt tone for different channels, audiences, and formats without losing clarity or impact.
- Solid understanding of SEO principles and how to apply them in content creation.
- Experience with content performance analytics tools (Google Analytics or similar).
- Comfortable using AI tools as part of a content workflow, with the editorial instinct to know when output needs shaping.
- Highly organised and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Desirable
- Experience in the accountancy, payroll, or fintech sector.
- Familiarity with marketing automation or CRM platforms (HubSpot or similar).
- Basic video or graphic production skills (Canva, Adobe, or equivalent).
