Job Title: Content Marketing Specialist
Location: Hybrid – Ogden, Utah (partial work-from-home available)
About Us:
Cubiscan is an employee-owned (ESOP) technology company that develops innovative solutions for data collection, automation, logistics, and supply chain. With our experience, we guide our customers to solutions that help them be more efficient, profitable, and environmentally responsible. At Cubiscan, every eligible employee is a beneficial owner of the company. We pride ourselves on fostering a positive and inclusive work environment where every employee is valued and can grow with the company.
Job Summary:
Cubiscan is seeking a highly creative Content Marketing Specialist to tell our story through compelling visual content and help elevate our brand in an industry that isn't exactly known for exciting marketing. This role is centered on photography, videography, and design - capturing and editing high-quality photo and video content, and bringing a strong design eye and out-of-the-box creative thinking to how we present our brand, products, and people.
We're not looking for someone with deep industry experience. We're looking for real creative talent: a sharp eye for visual storytelling, an instinct for brand-consistent design, and the drive to push our brand presentation to the next level. Visual and written content are the focus of this role, with photo and video taking precedence and strong writing skills supporting it - from scripts and captions to sales and marketing copy. The content this person creates will also fuel our broader marketing campaigns, so their work directly shapes how those campaigns look, sound, and perform.
Key Responsibilities:
Visual Storytelling: Photography & Videography
- Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality photo and video content that tells Cubiscan's story and elevates our brand image - for products, customer sites, events, and partnerships.
- Operate DSLR and other professional camera equipment to capture high-end footage and stills.
- Edit and produce finished photo and video content, primarily using Adobe Premiere Pro and other Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
- Bring fresh, creative ideas for how to visually present our brand and content - pushing beyond conventional norms for our industry.
Writing & Copy
- Write compelling, on-brand copy for video scripts, social captions, case studies, sales collateral, and marketing materials.
- Bring a strong storytelling voice to written content that stays consistent with our visual brand and attracts the right audience and engagement.
Design: Marketing, Sales & Partnership Assets
- Design marketing and sales assets - social graphics, sales enablement materials, product materials, partnership materials, and event materials - primarily using Canva, with Adobe tools as needed.
- Maintain visual brand consistency across all content while looking for opportunities to modernize and elevate our brand presentation.
- Create photo, video, and written content that supports and fuels broader marketing campaigns across channels.
Social Media Management
- Manage and post content from a content calendar across company social media channels.
- Track engagement and social metrics as needed; content creation and quality remain the primary focus of this role.
Email Marketing Support
- Write email content and assemble the accompanying visuals for marketing sends.
- Build working familiarity with our email/marketing platform (e.g., HubSpot); deep platform mastery isn't required and can be learned on the job.
Travel & On-Location Content
- Travel periodically (5-10%) to customer sites, trade shows, and events to capture photo and video content on location.
General
- Research industry trends, competitor content, and creative approaches for visual storytelling.
- Utilize AI and digital tools to improve content quality and production efficiency.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience creating content (photography, videography, and/or content marketing) for a company or agency.
- A portfolio or work samples demonstrating strong photography, videography, and creative/storytelling ability - required.
- Skilled in photography and videography, including DSLR camera operation, for high-end quality footage and stills.
- Proficiency editing photo and video content, primarily using Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Working knowledge of Canva or similar tools for marketing, sales, and partnership assets.
- Strong writing skills across formats - video scripts, captions, email, and sales/marketing copy.
- A creative, storytelling mindset with a strong design eye and a drive to push beyond conventional marketing approaches.
- Ability to travel a handful of times per year for on-location content capture.
- No specific industry experience required - creative talent and visual storytelling ability matter more than background.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to HubSpot or similar email/marketing platforms (training provided).
- Familiarity with social media analytics and engagement tracking.
- Experience with lighting, audio, and on-location video production setups.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted content and creative tools.
What We Offer:
- We offer a competitive salary.
- Benefits package, including health, dental, vision and 401K.
- The opportunity to be a beneficial owner of the company as a participant of our ESOP.
- Opportunities for professional development and career growth.
- A collaborative and supportive work environment.
