About the team

Zillow is building a world-class creative organization that drives compelling Brand, B2C and B2B communications across all customer touchpoints in the U.S. Studio Z is Zillow's in-house creative agency, delivering integrated campaigns, performance marketing, and channel-specific content at increasing scale and complexity. As the volume and variety of that work grows, we are investing in expanding our internal production capability — the ability to concept, shoot, edit, and deliver video end to end within the team.

About the role

The Content Producer, Videographer, and Editor will join Zillow’s Studio Z, as a hands-on creative who takes video from concept to final delivery. This role at its core — visual creator and internal video capture resource, handling cinematography, lighting, audio, editing, and final delivery.

The video work spans educational, SEO-driven content, product launches, campaigns, and evergreen content. Projects include vlogger-style content, vodcasts, UI product animation walkthroughs, story-driven testimonials, and polished brand films. Video is part of a broader content ecosystem, helping ideas reach the right audience across YouTube, OLV, paid and organic social, landing pages, newsletter, blog, and more.

Self-sufficiency is the core qualification. This person supports concept development and shoot planning, then owns execution. They are scrappy and resourceful by instinct, making strong creative decisions within the guardrails of budget-conscious, fast turnaround projects and delivering a high quality bar with a small footprint. They know when a project warrants a full production and when a lightweight approach is the smarter creative choice. If a project calls for it, they can coordinate internal crew resources or lead and manage external vendor support — managing the production, running the set, and owning the visual execution.

This person should jump in wherever needed, bring others into the process, and help educate and elevate the team. This role cares about making great work, whether the task is big or small, and is always looking for ways to improve both the output and the process. Above all, this person is collaborative, entrepreneurial, positive, and kind.

We're not just building the engine, we're inventing one as well.

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as Studio Z's videographer and internal content creator resource, bringing a strong visual point of view across a wide range of formats and conditions.
  • Design and execute lighting for interviews, narrative, and product setups. Often in uncontrolled locations adapting quickly to available resources and production limitations.
  • Capture clean, reliable production audio across interviews, scripted, vodcasts, and documentary-style shoots, including multi-cam and multi-mic situations.
  • Edit, mix, color, and finish your own work in Adobe Premiere Pro, versioning across channels from long-form YouTube to vertical social cutdowns. DaVinci Resolve experience is a plus.
  • Build or utilize motion graphics templates and animate product UI in After Effects, working from Figma product design systems.
  • Support concept development and shoot planning, contributing to creative direction, shot lists, storyboards, scouting, scheduling, talent and location logistics, and budget-conscious production decisions.
  • Own and maintain Studio Z's camera, lighting, and audio kit, and drive the equipment investments that expand and build out our internal capability.
  • Partner with the Post Production team to build out the systems and workflow connecting production to post — footage management, proxy workflows, shared templates and toolkits, delivery, backup, and archive — in a remote, cloud-based environment.
  • Direct and manage external vendors, on set crews, or in-house support crew
  • Share knowledge, document and improve workflows, and help elevate the team's creative and production capabilities.
  • Variable travel for shoots and retreats. Please reach out to your HRBP for a job description.
