The Opportunity

First Page is looking for an English Content Writer who pairs sharp, native-level English writing with fluent Cantonese and strong written Traditional Chinese – plus genuine fluency in AI-powered content workflows. This is content writing built for 2026: you’ll create content that wins not only with readers and traditional search, but also with the generative engines – Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini and beyond – that increasingly decide what audiences see.

Working alongside our in-house AI and automation stack, you’ll produce high-quality, on-brand English content at scale for clients across Hong Kong and the wider region, and move confidently between English and Traditional Chinese on bilingual projects. We’re looking for someone self-driven, curious about emerging tech, and excited to work with inspired (and inspiring) teams.

Junior or Senior? We’re Hiring at Both Levels

We’re open on seniority and will match the role to your experience. Your title, scope and salary will reflect where you are in your career.

• Content Writer: for candidates earlier in their career (around 1–3 years). You’ll write and edit across a range of clients and industries, with regular guidance and feedback from senior writers and editors.
• Senior Content Writer: for more experienced candidates (around 3+ years). You’ll take ownership of key client accounts, shape content strategy and briefs, QC the team’s AI-assisted output, and help mentor junior writers.

Job Description

• Execute English SEO copywriting for both new and existing content.
• Write punchy ad copy for social media ads and PPC campaigns.
• Produce inspiring blogs that make customers want to convert.
• Localise content between English and Traditional Chinese for Hong Kong audiences.

What We Need

• Excellent English writing skills, native, with the ability to write naturally and persuasively for Hong Kong and international audiences.
• Fluent Cantonese with strong written Traditional Chinese (mandatory). You’ll regularly work on bilingual projects and localise content between English and Traditional Chinese.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in SEO content writing, content marketing or digital copywriting. Candidates with more experience will be considered for the Senior Content Writer role.
• Hands-on experience using AI writing tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) within a professional workflow – you know how to prompt, direct and edit AI, not just copy-and-paste its output.
• A sharp editorial eye: able to spot and fix AI hallucinations, awkward phrasing, factual errors and off-brand tone.
• Working knowledge of (or strong interest in) SEO, SEM, content marketing and the emerging field of GEO / AI search optimisation.
• Able to balance volume and quality – comfortable producing at pace with AI assistance while keeping standards high.
• Effective time management, strong attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple clients and deadlines.
• A positive, proactive ‘Can Do’ attitude and a genuine willingness to experiment with new tools and workflows.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment, and willing to go the extra mile.
• Published English writing samples or a portfolio are a must.

Bonus Points If You Have

• The ability to read and write Simplified Chinese.
• Familiarity with content or automation tools (SEO platforms, CMS, or workflow tools such as n8n).
• Other additional language skills.
• Experience writing for finance, education, lifestyle or B2B clients.
• For Senior candidates: experience leading content projects, managing client relationships or mentoring other writers.

What You Will Do

• Plan, write and edit SEO-optimised English content – blog articles, landing pages and website copy – across a diverse portfolio of clients and industries.
• Craft punchy ad copy for social media, paid social and PPC campaigns (including Google Ads, RSA and Performance Max) that drive clicks and conversions.
• Produce content optimised for both traditional SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) – structuring and writing content so it gets surfaced and cited in AI Overviews and LLM-generated answers.
• Use AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini as a creative co-pilot to speed up research, ideation and drafting – while applying strong human editorial judgement at every step.
• Edit, fact-check and QC AI-assisted drafts to a publishable standard, catching hallucinations, off-brand tone and cultural or factual errors.
• Write and refine effective prompts, and work with our content automation workflows to scale output without compromising on quality.
• Localise and transcreate content between English and Traditional Chinese, adapting tone and nuance for Hong Kong and regional audiences.
• Collaborate closely with SEO specialists, designers, strategists and account managers to deliver content that hits client KPIs.
• Stay on top of search and AI developments – AI Overviews, LLM search behaviour and algorithm updates – and bring fresh ideas back to the team.
• For Senior hires: own key client accounts, build content strategies and briefs, review other writers’ work and mentor junior team members.
