Position Overview
Cullerton Group is seeking a Contingent Workforce Program Manager to support a large U.S.-based enterprise staffing program with approximately 50 active consultants across Engineering, IT, and Technology functions.
This is a staffing operations and consultant care role, not a sales position. The Contingent Workforce Program Manager will be responsible for supporting consultants throughout their assignments, maintaining relationships with customer managers, coordinating with MSP/VMS program teams, tracking assignment activity, and identifying potential performance, retention, onboarding, or compliance issues.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working for a staffing company, MSP, RPO, or contingent workforce organization supporting U.S.-based contract employees and enterprise customers.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for approximately 50 active consultants assigned to a large U.S. enterprise customer
- Conduct regularly scheduled consultant check-ins throughout each consultant's assignment
- Maintain consistent communication with consultants regarding assignment status, performance, satisfaction, extensions, concerns, and upcoming end dates
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with customer hiring managers responsible for active consultants
- Conduct manager check-ins to gather feedback regarding consultant performance and overall satisfaction
- Track consultant start dates, assignment end dates, extensions, terminations, and other assignment changes
- Coordinate consultant onboarding activities and ensure required steps are completed prior to start
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners regarding background checks, onboarding documentation, employment requirements, and consultant start dates
- Work with MSP program teams regarding onboarding, assignment changes, extensions, end dates, and other contingent workforce requirements
- Monitor VMS activity related to active consultants and assignments
- Identify upcoming assignment end dates and proactively determine whether extensions are expected
- Identify consultant performance, attendance, retention, or satisfaction concerns and escalate issues as appropriate
- Identify customer concerns regarding consultant performance and coordinate with internal leadership to resolve issues
- Maintain accurate consultant, manager, and assignment information in Bullhorn
- Document consultant and manager conversations, issues, follow-up items, and assignment changes
- Maintain an account map identifying consultants, hiring managers, departments, teams, projects, and reporting relationships
- Track organizational changes that may affect existing consultants or assignments
- Coordinate consultant offboarding and assignment completion activities
- Maintain regular communication with internal recruiting, operations, sales, and leadership teams regarding account activity
- Prepare recurring reports covering consultant status, upcoming end dates, extensions, onboarding activity, performance concerns, retention risks, and other account activity
- Identify potential hiring needs, upcoming projects, or organizational changes discovered through normal consultant and manager interactions
- Communicate relevant account intelligence to the appropriate Cullerton Group team member
- Support introductions to Cullerton Group's sales team when appropriate
- Ensure consultants receive consistent communication and support throughout the entire assignment lifecycle
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in staffing, recruiting, contingent workforce management, MSP operations, RPO, HR operations, or a related field
- Experience supporting contract employees, consultants, temporary workers, or other contingent workers
- Experience communicating directly with U.S.-based employees, consultants, candidates, customers, or hiring managers
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong professional communication skills and confidence conducting live phone and video conversations
- Experience managing multiple employees, consultants, assignments, or customer relationships simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to track deadlines, follow-up items, and recurring activities
- Experience maintaining detailed information within an ATS, CRM, HRIS, VMS, or similar business system
- Ability to identify and escalate employee, consultant, customer, performance, or retention issues
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of recurring processes
- Strong attention to detail and documentation
- Ability to work remotely during U.S. Central Time business hours
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for a U.S. staffing or recruiting company
- Experience supporting a large enterprise contingent workforce or staffing account
- Experience supporting Engineering and/or IT staffing programs
- Experience working within an MSP-managed staffing program
- Experience using Vendor Management Systems (VMS) such as Beeline, SAP Fieldglass, VectorVMS, or similar platforms
- Experience with Bullhorn or another staffing-specific ATS/CRM
- Experience coordinating consultant or contractor onboarding
- Experience managing assignment extensions, end dates, terminations, and offboarding
- Experience conducting consultant care or contractor care programs
- Experience interacting directly with hiring managers regarding contractor performance
- Experience supporting 25+ active contractors or consultants simultaneously
- Familiarity with professional Engineering, IT, Technology, or technical staffing
- Experience working remotely for a U.S.-based organization

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate has worked inside a staffing company, MSP, RPO, or contingent workforce program and understands how contract staffing works operationally. They are comfortable speaking with consultants and U.S.-based hiring managers, understand the importance of onboarding, assignment tracking, extensions, performance management, and consultant retention, and are highly disciplined about documentation and follow-up.
This person should be relationship-oriented without being sales-oriented. Their primary responsibility is to ensure Cullerton Group's consultants are supported, customer managers are satisfied, and the staffing program operates effectively.
