Contract Attorney/CPA/Enrolled Agent -Tax Resolution

Apply Job Type Contract Description The Affiliate Network Partner is responsible for negotiating client tax resolutions and completing tax returns while acting as the main point of contact throughout the case. This position is a work from home/office and is on an independent contracted basis. Case assignment is flexible and based on experience. Great opportunity for knowledge expansion, if desired. Requirements Must have successfully completed at least 100 tax resolution cases directly with the IRS through the ACS. This position requires strong experience reviewing and analyzing financial statements to resolve cases such as Offers in Compromise (OIC), Penalty Abatements (PA), Installment Agreements (IA), and Currently Not Collectible (CNC) statuses. This role does not offer on-the-job training for tax resolution or tax preparation. The partner is expected to hit the ground running with both tax resolution and tax preparation work. Training provided is limited to our internal case management software and IT setup. Must use their own equipment, as company equipment is not provided. Display strong leadership skills, promoting synergy and providing guidance and direction on case strategy, customer service issues, withholding guidance, and complex client matters. Extensive knowledge of IRS processes and procedures; including collections, examinations, innocent spouse, and offer in compromise, appeals, advisory, penalty abatement and ID theft. Comprehensive understanding of the Internal Revenue Manual and the capacity to build arguments using IRS policy, revenue procedures, and law. Capacity to work with and resolve all income and debt types. State resolution experience a plus. Ability to meet crucial deadlines. Ensure compliance with tax professional standards and ethics. Acts in a manner consistent with the rules and standards of both his/her governing professional organization and IRS Circular 230. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Problem solving skills, strong analytical and organizational skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong attention to detail, reliable and motivated. Self-starter. Strong research and information background. Strong customer service skills are a must. Compensation potential varies by full-time or part-time status, with the opportunity to earn six figures annually.
