Job Description Summary

As the Contract Operations Support Specialist, you will support the execution, implementation and maintenance of commercial contract operations processes. The role ensures accurate, timely implementation of customer agreements, manages contract administration activities and administers quality control reviews. It also partners with cross-functional teams on business initiatives, system enhancements and operational improvement projects.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

Contract Implementation & Administration

  • Accurately implement and maintain independent customer and Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) agreements in accordance with established business requirements and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform quality control reviews to validate contract setup, pricing, and customer eligibility, ensuring compliance and minimizing operational risk.
  • Monitor and resolve contract implementation issues while maintaining high levels of accuracy and service excellence.

New Account Setup & Customer Data Management

  • Process New Account Request (NAR) workflows and ensure accurate customer master data is maintained across all applicable business systems.
  • Coordinate account setup, maintenance, and data governance activities to support contract execution and customer onboarding.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve customer and account-related discrepancies.

Quality & Operational Excellence

  • Execute quality control processes to ensure data accuracy, contract compliance, and operational consistency.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, standardization, and customer experience.
  • Support audits, documentation reviews, and process governance activities.

Project & Continuous Improvement Support

  • Participate in cross-functional business initiatives, process improvement efforts, and system enhancement projects.
  • Support project activities including requirements gathering, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), training, implementation, and post-launch support.
  • Contribute to Lean, Kaizen, and operational excellence initiatives that drive productivity and process simplification.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build strong partnerships with Commercial Sales, Commercial Operations, Customer Service, Contracting, GPO Administration, and Business Process Excellence teams.
  • Serve as a trusted operational resource by providing timely support, issue resolution, and expertise related to contract administration processes.
  • Collaborate across teams to support strategic business objectives and ensure successful execution of customer agreements.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Effective communicator with experience partnering with multiple stakeholders to resolve issues and support customers.
  • Experience supporting system enhancements, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), process improvements, and operational excellence initiatives focused on efficiency and standardization.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with business systems and tools such as SAP, Docusign, Microsoft Office, and other enterprise applications.
  • Ability to support projects by assisting with planning, testing, training, implementation, and ongoing process optimization.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple operational processes such as vendor onboarding, account maintenance, and mailbox management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Associate’s degree with equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Experience in contract administration, commercial operations, customer support, or related business functions.
  • Knowledge of contract implementation, customer account setup, process improvements, audits, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience implementing customer agreements and pricing programs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Some knowledge of quality control reviews, document management, approval workflows, and electronic records administration.
  • Experience with GPOs, healthcare contracting, wholesaler operations, or commercial operations processes preferred.
  • Project management experience preferred.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $78,400.00-$117,600.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
