What you’ll be doing...
As a key member of the Contract Strategy & Automation team supporting Wireline contracting, you will serve as a Global Contracting Tool (GCT) functionality expert and Value Team Facilitator (VTF). You will be responsible for developing complex contracting strategies and business requirements to maintain and expand GCT capabilities, enabling the platform to serve a broader base of customers requiring advanced contracting solutions (e.g., sales channel-specific flows and product enablement).
- Acting as a GCT functionality expert and Value Team Facilitator (VTF) by writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, securing stakeholder alignment, driving iteration and test scenario planning, and partnering with IT partners on functional design solutions.
- Consulting with and advise Legal and other key stakeholders on contracting processes, GCT capabilities, template updates, and user stories to support compliance initiatives and resolve issues.
- Maintaining highly complex business rules in GCT language templates and independently establish thorough test plans executed across multiple variables (contract type, business rules, document compilation rules).
- Leveraging AI tools to automate workflows, reduce manual processes, and enhance team efficiency.
- Providing 2nd-level support to testing, language review, production support, and IT teams to resolve complex defects; provide 1st-level production support for GCT Legal users.
- Delivering strategic guidance to the TOSA Center of Excellence, Legal, Sales, and Support teams on Customer Legal Entity name and ownership changes (e.g., Transfer of Service Agreements, Assignment Agreements).
- Defining and establishing new end-to-end contracting processes when no existing framework exists.
- Developing, updating, and maintaining job aids and training resources for Sales and Legal users.
- Implementing configurable changes within GCT to support new product introductions and platform enhancements.
- Serving as the business trustee for GCT user role change requests to maintain compliance.
What we’re looking for...
You are an innovative, highly autonomous problem solver who thrives when navigating unchartered territory. You possess deep expertise in business architecture, contracting tools, and software development lifecycles, with a strong ability to balance immediate issue resolution with long-term strategic goals. You excel at cross-functional collaboration, effectively advising and partnering with stakeholders across all organizational levels (from peers to VPs) under tight deadlines.
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Extensive Global Contracting Tool (GCT) experience and deep knowledge of Verizon contracting practices.
- In-depth understanding of the Current Platform quote to order flow and related systems, Wireline contracting document compilation and business rules, and the Agile method of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience leveraging AI tools—including Gemini, GEMs, and NotebookLM—to drive process automation and efficiency.
- Superior problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills with a proven ability to forge new paths when established guidelines or written procedures do not exist.
- Proven ability to collaborate with others and work independently.
- Strong ability to marshal resources across cross-functional teams (Legal, Sales, IT, Product Marketing, Financial Operations) to achieve common strategic goals.
- Excellent ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives under tight time constraints.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.
