What We’re Looking For:
The Contracts Manager role will play a critical role in shaping and managing the contractual framework that supports Aireon’s global operations. This position is responsible for developing, negotiating, and administering a wide range of commercial agreements in a professional, timely, and results‑driven manner. The ideal candidate will bring strong business judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to support dynamic domestic and international activities across Aireon’s growing global business.
What You’ll Do:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of commercial agreements, including service contracts, consulting agreements, purchase orders, statements of work, non disclosure agreements, and other customer facing documents.
- Ensure internal contract templates, records, and documentation are accurate, current, and well organized.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to address contractual and business issues, clarify requirements, and drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Provide strategic advice and support to cross functional teams pursuing new business opportunities or preparing contract packages.
- Maintain comprehensive physical and electronic contract files in accordance with company requirements and best practices.
- Build and strengthen productive relationships with internal clients to ensure their needs are understood and met with responsive, practical solutions.
- Contribute to the evolution and continuous improvement of contract policies, processes, and workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle time.
- Work in partnership with the Legal Department to analyze and interpret commercial, legal, export control, licensing, intellectual property, and product liability issues and ensure they are accurately incorporated into contract terms.
- Participate in bid strategy development and coordinate proposal activities (RFPs, RFIs, etc.) with Sales teams to support compliant, competitive, and compelling submissions.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in business or commercial contracting (e.g., proposal development, contract negotiation, contract administration, procurement management, subcontractor oversight).
- Solid understanding of commercial contract law, procurement processes, and contract administration practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues to groups outside of your team or those who are unfamiliar with the topic
- Have confidence and be able to easily build relationships with leadership and colleagues outside of your team
- Possess an analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions and come up with out-of-the-box solutions
- Be proactive in providing feedback and be enthusiastic in sharing your knowledge with others
- Capable of prioritizing your own tasks and potentially the tasks of others while making sure deadlines are met
Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:
- Experience working in international business environments.
- Background in aerospace, defense, or satellite communications industries.
We’ll also need you to:
- Ability to travel up to 20%
- This position directly performs under, supports, or is exposed to a U.S. government contract. To comply with the requirements of that U.S. government contract, applicants for this position must be U.S. citizen
Work Environment:
This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary with the majority of the position working with a computer. The role typically requires the use of basic office equipment such as a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.

Under Iridium’s Hybrid Work Policy, employees are expected to work at least four days per week (approximately 80%) in an Iridium office to support collaboration, relationship-building, and professional growth.

Base Pay Range: $105,000 - $140,000 USD
Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors and this range represents an estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Base salary is only one part of our compensation package for this role. You may also be eligible for company stock and annual bonus.
