About the role
The Ambrosia Journal and Ambrose Creatives are looking for a Contributing Writer with a strong passion for contemporary visual arts and culture. This role is ideal for emerging writers, curators, artists, cultural managers or art enthusiasts who want to deepen their involvement in the cultural field and build a strong portfolio.
As a contributing writer, you will collaborate with our editorial direction to produce thoughtful, well-researched content centred on contemporary art, creative practice and cultural discourse.
What you’ll do
- Interview assigned artists and creative practitioners
- Write art and culture–related articles, reviews and written case studies
- Cover exhibitions, cultural initiatives and creative projects
- Contribute to broader conversations around contemporary visual culture and creative industries
Who we’re looking for
- A strong interest and genuine passion for contemporary visual arts and culture
- Active participation in cultural initiatives, exhibitions, talks, discussions or creative communities
- Curious, articulate, and able to translate ideas, practices and projects into compelling written narratives
- Comfortable working independently while aligning with an editorial framework
- Writing experience is not required, but is a plus
