We do this by employing experienced expert reviewers, who thoroughly test everything they recommend, and explain what’s best for most people. It’s that simple. Today, our team assesses multiple hundreds of products a year, making us one of the most influential reviews websites in the UK, with a global readership base. Overview of the role Contributors are freelance experts that help Trusted Reviews provide coverage across all its core verticals which include mobile, computing, TV and audio, homes, gaming and cameras. We’re looking for writers to help with everything from reviews, to how to, vs and explainer articles. Key tasks and responsibilities Delivering content that matches our testing and editorial quality guidelines on a per commission basis. Meeting agreed deadlines. Key competencies and qualifications Ability to source and pitch reviews to the relevant section editors. Experience writing about or reviewing consumer technology will be strongly advantageous. Above average writing and English skills are required. Ability to follow content briefs. Product photography skills are advantageous. Knowledge of WordPress or other Content Management Systems (CMS) will the advantageous. Access to test equipment (colorometers, input lag testers, benchmarking suites) advantageous. Section specific competencies and requirements: Mobile and tablet contributor: Familiarity and access to a colorometer and benchmarking tools (DispcalGUI, Geekbench 5, Antutu, 3DMark). Wearables contributor: An interest in sports, knowledge of sports sciences or personal training qualification strongly desired. Computing contributor: Familiarity with and access colorometers, input lag testers and benchmarking tools and modern games library. TV contributor: Familiarity with and access to test equipment (colorometers, input lag testers, 4K and HDR content) advantageous. Cameras: Professional, or semi-professional portfolio of work desired.
