Astrana Health is a physician-centric, technology-powered healthcare company enabling providers to deliver high-quality, value-based care. We partner with thousands of physicians across the country through our risk-bearing Care Partners segment, the largest and most complex part of our accounting organization, where capitation revenue, claims liability, and risk-pool settlements come together. This is a high-visibility role at the intersection of technical accounting, operational controllership, and public-company compliance. Our Values: Put Patients First Empower Entrepreneurial Provider and Care Teams Operate with Integrity & Excellence Be Innovative Work As One Team What You'll Do Own the Care Partners general ledger, close calendar, and period-end reporting — delivering financial statements, flux analysis, and balance-sheet substantiation to the CFO and CAO each period. Drive close acceleration and standardization across all segment entities, reducing cycle time and eliminating recurring out-of-period adjustments. Design, document, and operate SOX 404 controls for the segment — revenue, capitation, claims, IBNR, risk-pool settlements, and related IT-dependent controls — and lead remediation where deficiencies exist. Own the accounting for complex revenue arrangements, including professional and institutional capitation, shared-risk settlements, and quality-based payments. Partner with Actuarial and Medical Economics on claims liability and incurred-but-not-reported (IBNR) estimates — understanding the model, challenging inputs, and owning the accounting conclusion. Lead integration of acquired physician groups and IPAs onto the company's policies, chart of accounts, close calendar, and control framework. Identify and reduce manual effort across the segment — reconciliations, journal entries, spreadsheets — and act as the accounting owner for automation and ERP initiatives. Coordinate with the external auditor, internal audit, and regulatory examiners as the segment's primary accounting contact. Lead and develop the segment accounting team across multiple offices, building bench strength and eliminating single points of failure.
