As Controller / Finance Manager, you'll own the financial engine behind three distinct revenue lines and give our leadership team the clarity they need to make smart decisions and grow with confidence. Clean numbers, sharp analysis, and forward-looking insight from this seat don't just keep us compliant; they shape where the company goes next. Responsibilities Full-cycle accounting and month-end close across three revenue lines: recurring managed-services revenue, project-based professional services, and product resale Recurring and deferred revenue mechanics - reconciling agreement billing between ConnectWise (PSA) and QuickBooks (GL), and keeping deferred revenue accurate for prepaid and annual agreements Billing oversight across recurring agreements, projects, and product invoicing, including margin and COGS accuracy on resale AP, AR, collections, and cash flow management Payroll processing and reconciliation Multi-state tax compliance on two fronts: sales and use tax driven by product resale nexus, and payroll/employment tax obligations across the multiple states where our employees are based Financial controls, year-end close, and coordination with our outside CPA Manage and develop a small finance/accounting team Budgeting and forecasting Budget-to-actual variance analysis Scenario modeling and analysis to inform pricing, hiring, and agreement-renewal decisions Cash flow forecasting and runway planning KPI and financial-metrics ownership; building the reporting leadership uses to run the business Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management or accounting, with at least 4 years in a supervisory role. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, multi-state tax compliance, and reporting standards. Proficiency with Quickbooks Online. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Experience Experience in an MSP, TSP, IT services, or similar recurring-revenue services business Familiarity with ConnectWise or a comparable PSA Insurance Benefits Eligibility begins the first day of full-time employment (date of hire).
