Controller / Finance Transformation Lead

We're looking for a Part-Time Controller / Finance Transformation Lead to spearhead financial transformation projects for a growing multi-location business. What you'll do:

Financial Systems & Process Design

• Design and standardize the chart of accounts, operational workflows, and product/service codes across multiple business locations.
• Map and optimize financial processes to support long-term operational efficiency and business growth.
• Configure and integrate third-party systems to support standardized accounting and financial workflows.

Multi-Entity Standardization

• Lead a large-scale transformation project to standardize financial operations across four offices.
• Transition multiple locations from manual or disconnected processes into one fully integrated financial ecosystem.
• Perform data cleanup, validation, and standardization to ensure consistent reporting and operational accuracy across all entities.

Scalability & Business Growth

• Build a scalable financial infrastructure that supports future business expansion.
• Establish standardized reporting and accounting practices across all locations.
• Recommend process improvements and implementation strategies that enhance operational efficiency and financial visibility.

Must-Haves

✔ Extensive Controller or Senior Accounting experience in a multi-entity or multi-location environment

✔ Proven experience leading accounting system implementations, integrations, or finance transformation projects

✔ Strong understanding of process design, data standardization, and scalable financial operations

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA designation is highly preferred
• Experience with multi-entity and multi-location accounting environments
• Strong knowledge of ERP/accounting software implementations and integrations
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Highly trustworthy, organized, and able to work independently
• Previous consulting, advisory, or business scaling experience is an advantage
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
