COORDINATOR, GAMES [GAMES ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT] Be part of building a national brand. Headquartered in Toronto, the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) is a national, private, not-for-profit organization committed to high-performance sports excellence. We are the largest private supporter of high-performance sport in Canada and we are responsible for all aspects of Canada’s involvement in the Olympic Movement, including the participation in the Olympic and Pan American Games. The Canadian Olympic Committee is looking for a Coordinator, Games Administration Support. Reporting to the Director, Games Operations, the Coordinator , Games Administration Support will support the logistics of the Games Team’s activities and projects in the lead up to the Olympic Games, Olympic Winter Games and Pan American Games. This position will contribute to the delivery of a world class performance environment for Athletes, Coaches and Support Team at the Games. The incumbent will work collaboratively within the Games Planning Team to deliver on COC Games objectives . The Coordinator, Games will be responsible for a portfolio of projects, including one major impact project, for the immediate and future Games plan with a primary focus on communications and stakeholder engagement initiatives and deliverables. LOCATION This role will be located in one of the COC’s offices in Montréal, QC, at 500 René-Lévesque Boulevard West; We currently offer a hybrid work model that allows for up to two days of remote work each week. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND PRIORITIES Games Planning and Operations: Responsible for the planning, delivery, and reconciliation of one major impact project (i.e., Stakeholder Engagement and Communications) with guidance from the Manager, Games. Develop and maintain project plans in the COC Project Management software (Asana) Lead the Mission Team newsletter initiative Disseminate all Games organizing committee information and key dates with impacted stakeholders Lead the content creation for the Games Preparation Seminars Support the Games Evaluation initiative. Support with monthly communications to National Sport Organizations (NSO) Team Leaders and Mission Team in the lead up to Games. Responsible for the planning and delivery of medium or small impact projects. (i.e., cash & expense management, Mission Team Mentorship program, or other as appropriate). Develop and maintain project plans in the COC Project Management software (Asana). Execute and deliver programs, including budget tracking. Provide general administrative support to the Games Management Team including meeting preparations, hosting, note-taking, and follow-ups. Contribute to special projects that fall outside of Games specific operations. Collaboration with Own the Podium: Work with each sport’s assigned High-Performance Advisor (HPA) to understand the individual sports’ realities & plans in the lead up and during the Games. Consult the Manager, Sports Strategy and Performance Integration during the strategic planning of the assigned projects to ensure the sports lens and needs are considered in the program delivery. QUALIFICATIONS AND CRITICAL SKILLS Skills and Abilities: Communication & Relationship Management Bilingual (French / English) with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Future Games city/country local language skills are an asset. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with colleagues, partners and stakeholders Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise and audience-appropriate communications and presentation materials. Strong customer service and stakeholder support orientation Project Coordination & Operational Excellence Experience coordinating meetings, events or stakeholder engagement initiatives Strong organizational and administrative skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills Demonstrated initiative and accountability with the ability to take ownership of assigned projects Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to identify issues and escalate appropriately Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion Adaptability, Teamwork & Technical Proficiency Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, evolving environment, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility while maintaining quality and accuracy. Effective team player with the ability to work independently and proactively Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Sharepoint) Experience with project management software (e.g., Asana) Experience with relational databases is an asset (e.g., CRM) Demonstrates and embodies the COC values of Accountability, Excellence, Fun, Respect and Bravery Commitment Travel for Games related activities such as site visits and Olympic Preparation events Travel for Games (approx. 5-7 weeks during Games window) Work some evenings and weekends Education and Experience: University degree or college diploma 1-2 years in multi-sport or international sport event experience and/or multi-sport Games experience Knowledge of the Canadian Sport System and major Games operations Project management experience is an asset COMPENSATION The expected salary range for this role is $47,800 to $65,670 per year. The base pay within this range is based on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal pay equity, and market benchmarks.
