Coordinator of Volunteers

Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a part-time, remote role responsible for organizing and supporting volunteers who contribute to CIELO’s programs and community initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include recruiting and onboarding volunteers, coordinating schedules, and ensuring volunteers have the training and information needed to succeed in their roles. This position manages communication with volunteers, tracks volunteer participation, and provides ongoing support and feedback to help maintain engagement and satisfaction. The Coordinator of Volunteers collaborates with staff to identify volunteer needs, supports community outreach activities, and helps develop volunteer recognition efforts that reflect CIELO’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training to effectively organize, support, and develop volunteers.
• Candidates should possess strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills to build positive relationships and provide clear guidance to volunteers and community partners.
• Candidates should possess experience with Community Outreach to help engage local stakeholders and promote CIELO’s programs and volunteer opportunities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accurate records of volunteer activities.
• Familiarity with nonprofit or community-based organizations and an interest in entrepreneurship, economic empowerment, or social impact is beneficial.
• Proficiency with basic office software and online communication tools (e.g., email, video conferencing, shared documents) is preferred.
• Relevant education or training in social services, nonprofit management, community development, or a related field is an advantage.
