Coordinator of Volunteers

Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a part-time, remote role responsible for organizing and supporting volunteers who contribute to QD-SBG’s community-focused initiatives. On a day-to-day basis, this role includes recruiting volunteers, scheduling shifts, and maintaining accurate volunteer records. The coordinator designs and delivers training sessions to ensure volunteers understand their responsibilities and safety guidelines. The role also involves ongoing communication with volunteers, responding to inquiries, and providing guidance to keep them engaged and informed. In addition, the Coordinator of Volunteers supports community outreach activities, helps promote volunteer opportunities, and collaborates with internal stakeholders to align volunteer efforts with project and organizational needs.

Qualifications

• Strong volunteer management skills, including Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and Communication abilities for working with diverse volunteer groups.
• Experience with Community Outreach and building relationships with community partners.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time environment, managing time and priorities effectively.
• Comfort with basic digital tools for scheduling, communication, and record-keeping (e.g., spreadsheets, email, virtual meeting platforms).
• Previous experience coordinating volunteers, community programs, or non-profit activities is an advantage.
• Knowledge of or interest in construction, infrastructure projects, or corporate social responsibility is beneficial.
