Coordinator of Volunteers

Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a part-time, remote role responsible for organizing and supporting volunteers who contribute to Developers Den’s community and outreach initiatives. This role includes recruiting and onboarding volunteers, coordinating schedules, and ensuring volunteers have clear expectations and resources. The coordinator will design and deliver volunteer training, maintain accurate records, and foster ongoing engagement through regular check-ins and feedback. Day-to-day tasks also involve collaborating with internal teams to identify opportunities for volunteer involvement, planning community outreach activities, and tracking metrics related to volunteer participation and impact.

Qualifications

• Strong volunteer management skills, including experience with Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and Communication abilities for working with diverse volunteer groups and internal stakeholders.
• Experience in Community Outreach, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with external partners and communities.
• Organizational and time-management skills to oversee multiple volunteers, initiatives, and schedules in a remote environment.
• Comfort with digital tools and platforms for coordinating remote volunteers (e.g., communication apps, project management tools, spreadsheets or databases).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems in a fast-paced, startup-oriented setting.
• Prior experience in volunteer coordination, nonprofit work, or community programs is preferred but not required.
• Reliable internet access and the ability to work flexible hours to support volunteers across different time zones.
