Description

If your love language is a well-timed pun, keep reading.

At Not Your Mother's, we don't do bland. We write copy with personality that’s clever enough to earn a second look, witty enough to make people smile, and bold enough to push the conversation forward. We love ideas that toe the line (without crossing it), headlines that make people wish they'd thought of them first and copy that's as memorable as the hair it sells. We know the difference between clever and cringe, and we write for today's consumer without trying too hard. This role will serve as a key steward of the Not Your Mother’s brand voice, translating brand strategy, product innovation, and cultural insights into distinctive consumer storytelling across the full brand ecosystem.

We’re looking for a Copywriter who can bring that energy to every consumer touchpoint, from packaging and product launches to campaigns, retail, digital, social, experiential, PR, and everything in between. You’ll turn product benefits into consumer desire, help shape messaging from strategy through execution, and ensure the Not Your Mother’s voice remains distinctive, relevant, and unmistakably ours wherever the brand shows up.

WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT HERE:

At Not Your Mother’s Haircare, we exist to do hair differently. We create life-tested clean haircare for every strand and season, designed to take on real hair needs, from volume and hydration to frizz control and definition, without overcomplicating your routine.

Our team moves fast, thinks big, and isn’t afraid to challenge the expected. We believe the best ideas come from collaboration, curiosity, and people who bring fresh perspectives to the table. Whether we’re launching innovation, building community, or creating culture-driving moments, we do it with intention, creativity, and a little bit of edge.

As Not Your Mother’s continues to grow, we’re building the creative and storytelling capabilities needed to support the brand’s next chapter. This role will help strengthen and scale how our brand voice comes to life across an expanding ecosystem of channels, launches, and consumer experiences.

Our culture is rooted in the values that guide everything we do. We lead with LOVE FOR ALL by creating a workplace where individuality is celebrated, and everyone feels empowered to show up as themselves. We encourage our team to MAKE YOUR MARK by taking initiative, owning ideas, and pushing work forward with confidence. And we continue SHAKING THINGS UP by embracing change, staying curious, and never settling for ordinary.
