Our recent pivot to a performance model (investing our own capital in ad spend & getting paid for the result) has grown profits 300%. We generated ~2 million in affiliate commissions in the last year and are on track for $5.5 million in commissions for the next 12 month period. The founder: Joey Alter is a skilled executive with over ten years of experience in direct marketing, specializing in paid social customer acquisition and retention. As the founder of Stealth Mode Agency, Joey has successfully managed multi-million dollar ad campaigns for Fortune 500 clients, with a total ad spend managed of over $250 million dollars over the course of his career. He is also an accomplished freelancer, delivering exceptional results in conversion rate optimization, copywriting, and email marketing. Joey is passionate about continuous improvement, applying this mindset to enhance paid social strategies, long-form copy, and conversion funnels. Job Description: We are hiring a Copywriter for Ads to join our growing team. The ideal person for this role has a deep expertise in direct response copywriting and a proven track record of developing scripts and messages that don't just look good, but convert. We need someone who lives and breathes high-performance messaging —someone who can look at a failing campaign and identify exactly how to improve the results through sharper hooks, more persuasive angles, and psychological sales triggers . This is a great position for someone with 2-4 years experience who wants to level up their game by mastering the art of selling through video. Since we invest our own capital and get paid on performance, we need someone who thinks critically and finds innovative ways to grab attention—not just someone who follows a playbook. A willingness to learn all you can and continually improve is much more important than years of tenure. What You’ll Do: Script Writing & Hook Development: Work with the CEO and our video team to ideate, draft, and produce high-converting video ad scripts. You will focus on creating multiple "hooks" and angles for every offer. Messaging Optimization: Constantly analyze creative performance to rewrite and improve existing ad copy, testing new sales messages and emotional triggers to extend the life of winning campaigns. Recruit actors & influencers: We are always expanding our network of actors to star in our videos and bring your scripts to life. Research: With guidance from the CEO, you’ll research the ideal customer persona, their problems, desires, needs, fears and decision set to inform the copywriting strategy . Test planning and execution: Work with the CEO and our media buyers to continuously improve results through a/b and multivariate testing of copy and headline variables . Competitive research: Monitor messaging trends and competitor "hooks" in our target industries to stay ahead of the curve. Performance analysis: Audit the performance of your scripts on each account twice weekly for insights and rewriting opportunities. Video review: Ensure all ads created by the video editing team follow your scripts exactly, working collaboratively with them to ensure the sales message is clear in the final video. Conversion rate optimization: Work with the CEO and our development team to continuously improve the sales copy of our landing pages and ads to increase revenue per visitor. Requirements: 2-4 years of experience in direct response copywriting with a strong emphasis on developing high-converting scripts for video ads (Meta & TikTok). Proven ability to improve ad performance through copy iterations , sharper hooks, and data-driven messaging adjustments. Knowledge of recruitment processes for actors and influencers. Demonstrated ability to work under and meet KPIs. Proficiency with excel or google sheets (pivot tables and vlookups will be necessary). Proactive mindset instead of reactive. Ability to write with style and within compliance guidelines. Growth mindset, always willing to learn. Fluency in English. International applicants OK – but must be willing to work on US time zone. Portfolio of scripts or ads you have written that show a clear focus on conversion. Nice to have but not required: Experience buying media on any channel. Experience writing for financial services. Experience with affiliate or other performance based ways of working. Have one other creative “special skill” you can bring to the table (photoshop, video editing, basic web dev). Written and produced Tiktok Ads before. Worked and succeeded in a compliance heavy industry before. You have actors & influencers you’ve worked with before, that you can bring to the table.
