Job Description Budget : 16-20 LPA Core Database Administrator (OCI / GCP Cloud) Hyderabad / Vizag - Hybrid/Remote as required Full Time UK Shift: 2-11 PM IST 8 years relevant experience Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Core Database Administrator (DBA) with a strong background in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise database environments, ensuring high availability, security, performance, and scalability across on-prem and cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities Administer, monitor, and maintain core database systems across OCI and GCP environments. Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and migrations. Manage database performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization. Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies. Ensure database security, access controls, encryption, and compliance with organizational policies. Troubleshoot database issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures. Support high availability (HA) and replication technologies (e.g., RAC, Data Guard, cloud-native HA). Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams for smooth deployments. Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts and cloud-native tools. Monitor cloud costs related to database usage and recommend optimization strategies. Maintain documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks. Requirements Required Skills & Qualifications: 8+ years of experience as a Core DBA in enterprise environments. Strong expertise in Oracle databases (or relevant core RDBMS). Hands-on experience with OCI (Autonomous DB, Compute, Storage, Networking). Working experience with GCP database services (Cloud SQL, Bare Metal, Compute Engine). Proficiency in backup and recovery , performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems. Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, or similar). Understanding of cloud security best practices and IAM. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Good to Have Experience with database migration tools and strategies. Exposure to DevOps / CI-CD pipelines . Knowledge of monitoring tools and observability platforms. OCI or GCP certifications .
