It’s this commitment that has earned us a reputation as a trusted and valued partner. Coast to coast. Luxury and Lifestyle. Branded and Independent. Our people-first mentality empowers our associates to be themselves and do their best work. When people are motivated by a common purpose + passion, anything is possible.

We’re passionate about driving results, delivering memorable hospitality, and creating a culture that empowers our people in the process. Our entrepreneurial spirit fosters creativity, which is how the best ideas—and returns—are generated.

Role

The Risk Manager coordinates PM Hotel Group’s property and casualty insurance programs. This includes claims, loss prevention, compliance, and related financial processes across the hotel portfolio. The role serves as the primary liaison among hotel teams, ownership groups, finance, legal, insurance brokers, carriers, and other stakeholders, such as the people + culture team, on risk-management matters.

Essential Functions:

· Claims management – Coordinate with the hotels to identify and report all claims across the company portfolio, monitor claims through resolution, maintain current status information, and coordinate with the applicable carrier and stakeholders. Track all reported claims, including matters that do not ultimately result in damages. Respond timely to litigation matters.

· Renewals – Coordinate with the CFO and VP of Finance on the renewal of each line of coverage. Update exposure workbooks and applications as needed, validate the completeness of the information, and provide all required materials to the broker sufficiently in advance of each renewal date.

· Document Review – Review contracts and other documents for insurance requirements, identify questions or coverage issues, and submit relevant materials to the broker with sufficient time for a response.

· Owner Requests – Responding timely to any hotel owner request for information.

· Hotel Requests – Responding timely to any hotel direct request for information or assistance.

· Loss Prevention – Coordinate hotel site visits with carriers, visit selected hotels, analyze claims data to identify recurring risks and loss trends, and utilize carrier information to develop loss-prevention tools and practices for use across the company.

· Certificates - Ensure that all required certificates are issued by the broker at each policy renewal and manage requests throughout the year

· Portfolio Changes - Manage hotels which are joining and leaving the portfolio. For incoming hotels, gather information from ownership to complete exposure workbooks so the broker can issue quotes on lines of coverage. For exiting hotels, coordinate final coverage dates and manage return of unused premiums.

· Billing – Work with the finance team to create and manage portfolio premium billings for all lines of coverage. Prepare allocations of premiums across the portfolio.

· Audit Management – Manage annual workers’ compensation audits, coordinate required information with the broker, review audit findings for accuracy, and support timely resolution of identified issues.

· Payment Research – Work with Finance to verify that each hotel has issued required payments accurately and that the broker, carrier, or finance company has received, recorded, and posted those payments correctly. Research and coordinate the resolution of discrepancies.

· OSHA Filing – Manage all OSHA filing requirements including the annual online reports via the OSHA website.

Abilities Required

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Strong organizational and time-management skills

· High attention to detail and accuracy

· Must have excellent analytical skills to resolve issues and make timely decisions.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

· Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners
