Your Role: Turning Corporate Spend into Clarity and Control
As Corporate Controller, you will own the head office cost base, covering corporate functions, IT and transformation projects, as well as the charge-outs to Kiwa's group entities in 35+ countries. From budgets and forecasts to variance analyses and allocations, you turn corporate spend into clear insights and well-founded charges, keeping Kiwa's head office scalable as the group grows.
Working within the Group Business Control team (5 FTE) and as part of the broader Corporate Finance organization (25+ colleagues), you will report to the Head of Group Business Control.
You will act as a sparring partner to senior corporate budget owners such as HR, IT and Quality, work closely with the country finance teams receiving the charges, and engage regularly with the Corporate Finance Director and Group CFO.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Controlling: Monitor and control the spend of corporate departments, IT and transformation projects.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare, coordinate and monitor budgets, quarterly forecasts and actuals for corporate spend.
- Variance Analysis & Insights: Provide clear variance analyses and management insights on head office costs, project spend and full-year outlooks.
- Corporate Charge-outs: Calculate, coordinate and explain charge-outs to Kiwa's group entities, together with country finance teams.
- Transfer Pricing Alignment: Keep charge-out models and documentation robust and aligned with transfer pricing requirements, together with Tax.
- Business Partnering: Act as a finance business partner for senior corporate budget owners, including HR, IT, Quality and other corporate functions.
- Decision Support: Support the Group CFO and senior stakeholders with analyses and presentations on corporate costs and allocations.
- Process Improvement & Data Quality: Improve cost control processes, allocation models and reporting routines, and maintain strong data quality and documentation around budgets, forecasts, actuals and charge-outs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Tax, Financial Control and other finance teams, and own ad hoc analyses and projects on group-wide overhead topics.
What You Bring
You combine first-class analytical skills with strong stakeholder management. You are comfortable challenging budget owners, explaining cost allocations to country finance teams, and translating financial data into clear insights for senior management.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is accurate, structured and able to meet strict deadlines, taking ownership and working with a high degree of autonomy.
- Communicates complex financial topics clearly and pragmatically, and interacts effectively with senior stakeholders, up to board level.
- Is comfortable collaborating with country finance teams across different cultures and time zones.
- Has a pragmatic, down-to-earth attitude and excels in both teamwork and independent work.
Your qualifications:
- Education: Master or Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics or another relevant area.
- Experience: About 5 to 8 years of experience in control, audit or advisory in an international environment. Experience with cost allocation models, intercompany charging and transfer pricing is a strong advantage.
- Languages: Fluent in English, both speaking and writing. Dutch proficiency is an advantage.
- Technical skills: Strong data analysis skills, including experience with ERP systems, Excel and BI tools such as Power BI.
- Soft skills: Pragmatic, accurate and confident, working independently while collaborating across an international finance community.
- Location: You are based in the Netherlands and are entitled to work here.
