About MGT Insurance

MGT is the first AI-driven, neo-insurer focused on evolving commercial P&C insurance for the brokers and small business owners. By combining the expertise of industry veterans with state-of-the-art technology, we are ushering in the next evolution of commercial insurance and working to move the industry forward through the use of modern technology, better processes, and a rock-star team. We seek visionary leaders who thrive in dynamic, entrepreneurial settings, and excel in autonomous roles.

MGT Insurance is seeking a Corporate Development Associate to own the analytical and process infrastructure that powers MGT's strategic activity. You will build financial models, produce decks, draft NDAs, manage data rooms, and keep every deal workstream organized and moving.

You will have the opportunity to source, manage bankers, run deal processes, negotiate directly with CEOs, CFOs, and General Counsel, and shepherd legal agreements through to close. You will also build the analytical and process infrastructure including models, decks, pipeline tracking, data rooms and anything that makes MGT's strategic activity run. You will own the work product end-to-end and see it directly shape business outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Own MGT's corporate development pipeline — tracking every active conversation, its status, next steps, and owner

  • Build and maintain financial models for strategic opportunities: valuation analysis (DCF, comps, precedent transactions), M&A pro formas, partnership return models, and capital structure scenarios

  • Produce board-quality decks, investment memos, partnership summaries, and strategic analyses — clear, concise, and decision-oriented

  • Manage and coordinate due diligence workstreams — tracking open items, following up with internal stakeholders, and maintaining a clear view of what's outstanding

  • Keep the CEO fully briefed on pipeline status, upcoming milestones, and open items — proactively, not reactively

  • Monitor the insurtech, P&C, and AI investment landscape — funding rounds, M&A activity, and competitive developments

  • Research potential acquisition targets, partnership candidates, and distribution opportunities — building profiles, financial summaries, and strategic fit assessments

What You Bring

  • 4+ years across investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or in-house corporate development; FIG, insurance, or fintech experience preferred

  • Strong financial modeling foundation: valuation, DCF, transaction modeling, and three-statement analysis

  • Experience producing board-quality decks, deal memos, and due diligence outputs under time pressure

  • Familiarity with M&A or deal processes: NDAs, data rooms, diligence workstreams, and document management

  • Exceptional organizational skills — manages multiple workstreams and deadlines without dropping threads

  • High output under pressure — comfortable with the pace and demands of a deal environment
