The Corporate Human Resources Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of human resources strategies, programs, and initiatives that support the organization's business objectives. This position serves as a strategic business partner to corporate and operational leadership, providing expertise in employee relations, talent management, organizational development, workforce planning, compensation, compliance, and change management.
The Corporate Human Resources Manager collaborates closely with leadership teams to ensure consistent application of HR policies, legal compliance, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness while fostering a high-performance culture aligned with company values.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
- Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational goals.
- Provide guidance on workforce planning, succession planning, organizational design, and talent strategies.
- Lead HR initiatives that improve employee engagement, retention, performance, and organizational effectiveness.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on employee and organizational matters.
Employee Relations
- Lead and support employee relations activities, including investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and policy interpretation.
- Provide guidance regarding employment law compliance and workplace practices.
- Promote positive employee relations and an inclusive workplace culture.
Talent Management and Development
- Support performance management processes, goal setting, talent reviews, and succession planning activities.
- Support leadership development and employee development initiatives throughout the organization.
- Partner with business leaders to identify skill gaps and development opportunities.
- Support employee engagement and recognition programs.
HR Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Oversee HR compliance programs including EEO, affirmative action, record retention, audits, accommodations, and policy administration.
- Monitor changes in employment legislation and recommend appropriate organizational actions.
- Support internal and external audits related to human resources practices.
Compensation and Benefits
- Partner with Compensation and Benefits teams to administer and communicate compensation programs.
- Assist with salary planning, market benchmarking, incentive programs, and pay equity initiatives.
- Support benefit plan administration and employee communication efforts.
Organizational Effectiveness and Change Management
- Lead organizational change initiatives and support business transformation efforts.
- Develop and implement communication strategies for HR programs and organizational changes.
- Facilitate workforce transitions, restructuring initiatives, and integration activities as needed.
- Promote continuous improvement within HR processes and service delivery.
HR Systems and Analytics
- Utilize HR information systems and workforce analytics to drive organizational decisions.
- Develop reports and metrics to monitor workforce trends and HR program effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology and process enhancements.
Leadership and Team Development
- Build, mentor, and develop HR team members.
- Establish performance expectations and provide coaching and development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative, customer-focused HR function.
- Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
Experience
- 8-10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Minimum 5 years of HR leadership or management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations, talent management, organizational development, and HR compliance.
- Experience partnering with senior leadership teams.
- Labor relations and union experience preferred, where applicable.
Certifications
Preferred:
- SHRM-SCP
- SPHR
- CHRL/CHRP (Canada, if applicable)

- Annual Base Salary Range of $90,000 - $105,000 with Annual Incentive Plan
