The Role
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Security Manager to lead the organization's corporate security strategy, programs, operations, risk assessments, threat monitoring, incident response, executive protection, travel security, physical security, investigations, and security governance.
The ideal candidate will provide enterprise-level security leadership across people, facilities, operations, projects, travel, assets, and critical business activities. The role requires strong strategic judgment combined with practical operational capability to anticipate threats, coordinate security responses, manage security providers, and strengthen organizational resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the organization's corporate security strategy, framework, policies, standards, procedures, governance model, and operating principles.
- Establish an enterprise-wide security program covering employees, executives, facilities, assets, operations, projects, travel, events, supply chains, and other critical business activities.
- Develop annual corporate security plans, priorities, budgets, risk-reduction initiatives, capability roadmaps, and performance objectives.
- Establish security governance structures, accountability models, escalation procedures, reporting standards, and decision-making authorities.
- Develop and maintain corporate security policies, standards, operating procedures, security manuals, response protocols, and security guidelines.
- Establish an integrated corporate security framework connecting physical security, executive protection, travel security, investigations, threat intelligence, crisis response, asset protection, and business continuity.
- Conduct enterprise-wide security risk assessments covering people, facilities, locations, operations, travel, events, projects, supply chains, and critical assets.
- Conduct threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments based on geography, business activity, asset criticality, crime exposure, geopolitical conditions, operating environment, and historical incidents.
- Identify emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, exposure points, critical dependencies, and potential business impacts.
- Develop and maintain corporate security risk registers, threat assessments, vulnerability assessments, mitigation plans, corrective-action trackers, and security improvement roadmaps.
- Establish risk-based security standards for offices, stores, warehouses, distribution centers, project sites, executive locations, critical facilities, and other operating environments.
- Develop security requirements for new markets, new facilities, relocations, acquisitions, projects, events, and major business initiatives.
- Provide security input into corporate real estate, facility design, construction, refurbishment, workplace planning, and capital projects.
- Establish appropriate layered security controls based on threat levels, asset criticality, occupancy, operating hours, location, and business requirements.
- Coordinate with Physical Security teams on access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, alarms, perimeter protection, security staffing, visitor management, and facility security.
- Establish enterprise standards for employee identification, access badges, credentials, restricted areas, visitor management, keys, locks, and other physical security controls.
- Monitor physical security performance and identify opportunities to improve security posture across corporate locations.
- Develop and manage corporate security operations, including security control rooms, monitoring, guarding, patrols, incident response, security communications, and escalation functions.
- Establish security operating procedures, post orders, patrol requirements, control-room standards, response protocols, and service-level expectations.
- Manage security service providers, guarding companies, security consultants, monitoring providers, investigators, executive protection providers, travel-security providers, and other external partners.
- Establish scopes of work, staffing requirements, service levels, KPIs, response-time requirements, reporting standards, and contractual performance expectations.
- Monitor third-party security performance through inspections, audits, incident reviews, performance assessments, and management reviews.
- Ensure security personnel and contracted security teams are appropriately trained, licensed, equipped, briefed, and supervised.
- Establish corporate security training and competency standards for security officers, investigators, executive protection personnel, travel-security teams, control-room operators, and other designated roles.
- Develop enterprise-wide threat intelligence and security monitoring capabilities.
- Monitor geopolitical, security, crime, terrorism-related, civil unrest, public-health, environmental, infrastructure, and social risks that may affect employees or business operations.
- Establish reliable sources and processes for collecting, analyzing, validating, and distributing security intelligence.
- Develop threat assessments, security advisories, alerts, executive briefings, travel warnings, location risk reports, and situation updates.
- Establish threat-level frameworks and corresponding security posture requirements.
- Recommend appropriate security measures based on changing threat levels and emerging intelligence.
- Develop early-warning mechanisms for emerging threats affecting employees, facilities, projects, markets, or critical operations.
- Conduct country, city, site, and event security risk assessments for existing and prospective business locations.
- Develop security profiles for countries and locations where the organization operates or plans to operate.
- Assess security implications of market entry, expansion, relocation, major projects, events, and other strategic business activities.
- Establish corporate travel-security programs covering employee travel, executive travel, high-risk destinations, journey management, accommodation, transportation, and emergency support.
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate should have experience in corporate security, security management, physical security, executive protection, travel security, security operations, investigations, threat intelligence, crisis management, risk management, or related fields.
Experience working with multinational corporations, retail, infrastructure, construction, energy, logistics, technology, manufacturing, real estate, hospitality, critical infrastructure, government organizations, or other complex and geographically distributed businesses is highly advantageous.
The candidate should demonstrate:
- Strong understanding of corporate security strategy, physical security, security operations, threat intelligence, investigations, executive protection, travel security, crisis management, and risk management.
- Proven experience developing and implementing enterprise-wide corporate security programs.
- Strong experience conducting threat assessments, vulnerability assessments, country and location risk assessments, site-security assessments, and enterprise security risk assessments.
- Experience developing corporate security policies, standards, governance frameworks, security plans, incident-response procedures, and crisis-management protocols.
- Strong understanding of physical security technologies including CCTV, access control, alarms, intrusion detection, surveillance, visitor management, perimeter protection, and security monitoring.
- Experience managing corporate security operations, guarding companies, security consultants, security technology providers, investigators, executive protection providers, and other third-party security partners.
- Strong experience developing security staffing models, security operating procedures, service-level agreements, KPIs, and contractor-performance frameworks.
- Experience developing and managing threat intelligence and security-monitoring programs.
- Strong understanding of geopolitical, crime, terrorism-related, civil unrest, workplace violence, travel, infrastructure, and operational security risks.
- Experience developing travel-security programs, destination assessments, travel advisories, journey-management procedures, emergency communications, and traveler-support processes.
- Experience conducting executive or VIP threat assessments and developing protective-security arrangements where applicable.
- Strong experience managing or coordinating major security incidents, investigations, crisis responses, emergency situations, and law-enforcement engagement.
- Strong understanding of incident investigation, evidence preservation, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and confidential case management.
- Experience coordinating with police, civil defense, government agencies, emergency services, regulators, intelligence/security authorities, and other external stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of business continuity, crisis management, emergency preparedness, resilience, and recovery planning.
