Cost Accounting Analyst

The Cost Accounting Analyst will provide timely and accurate cost accounting and analysis to support a multi-brand wholesale/Direct to Consumer environment. This role is responsible for inventory valuation and analysis. This is a hybrid role; we work on site 4 days and remotely 1 day weekly. Analyze cost-of-goods-sold [COGS]: adjust as necessary, all components directly affecting COGS including variances related to freight, duty, and de-nesting Prepare Inventory Aging and propose necessary obsolete reserve adjustments Prepare reconciliation of Wholesale/DTC Inventory – including Consignment Inventory Prepare monthly entries pertaining to inventory and COGS section of the P&L Assist on yearly physical inventory counts Support monthly cost accounting close within SAP Establish and maintain standard operating procedures/processes for the current tasks performed Prepare monthly/quarterly SOX controls Maintain monthly inventory reports Monitor inventory reserves Partner with finance and operations team Adhoc inventory analysis Partner with internal and external auditors Establish and maintain standard operating procedures/processes for the current tasks performed Set Up Material Master Info for SKU’s Qualifications: ERP system experience, preferably SAP; SAP S/4HANA exposure is a plus Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency, including sorting, filtering, lookups, and basic data analysis Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through Analytical thinking, reconciliation, research, and problem-solving skills Ability to maintain audit-ready documentation and follow company policies, controls, and deadlines Bachelor’s in accounting/finance or related field 3-5 years of accounting experience with 1+ years of cost experience SAP experience preferred Knowledge of average cost method Demonstrated inventory reconciliation Familiarity with freight and transportation Advanced excel skills Ability to manage multiple priorities Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP FI, SAP MM, Oracle Suite.
