QStaffers is currently looking for a Cost Control Engineer for one of our partners, a well-known real estate company.
THE ROLE
The Cost Control Engineer monitors, controls and optimises project costs for a global real estate developer, making sure projects are delivered within approved budgets. The role combines cost control with tendering and estimation, and turns project financial data into clear Excel and Power BI dashboards that help leadership see performance and risk early and make better decisions.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Monitor and control project costs against approved budgets
Prepare regular cost reports, forecasts and variance analysis
Take part in preparing and evaluating tenders, including cost estimation and pricing
Build and maintain interactive dashboards in Excel and Power BI
Track progress and spend against baseline schedules and budgets
Review invoices, variations and claims for accuracy and compliance
Forecast project cash flow so Finance can secure funding on the right dates
Build and maintain a historical cost database to sharpen future feasibility studies
Give project teams practical cost insights and recommendations
Work closely with planning, procurement and finance
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
2 to 4 years of experience in cost control and tendering or cost estimation
Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, PivotTables and dashboards
Hands on experience building reports and visuals in Power BI
Solid understanding of project controls and cost management techniques
Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP is a plus
Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
