Show job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join Hollis in Dublin and play an important role in the continued growth of our Cost Management service in Ireland.

This is a great opportunity for an established Cost Manager who wants both project responsibility and the chance to help shape a developing service. You’ll take ownership of real estate projects from feasibility through to completion, build trusted client relationships and work closely with our Project Management and Development Monitoring teams.

Your work will cover the full range of pre- and post-contract Cost Management services, including cost planning, procurement, tender documentation, valuations, cost reporting, change control and final accounts. You’ll turn technical information into clear, commercially focused advice and confidently manage projects, fees, billing and work in progress.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading Cost Management instructions across a range of real estate projects.

  • Preparing cost plans, benchmarking exercises, tender documents and cost reports.

  • Managing procurement processes and evaluating tender returns.

  • Providing post-contract advice, including valuations, change control and final accounts.

  • Identifying cost risks and opportunities and advising clients clearly and commercially.

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across Project Management, Development Monitoring and the wider Hollis business.

  • Supporting client development and the continued growth of our Cost Management capability in Dublin.

  • Sharing technical knowledge and helping to guide more junior colleagues.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong pre- and post-contract Cost Management or Quantity Surveying experience within real estate.

  • Good knowledge of Irish contracts, procurement, tender documentation and construction market rates.

  • The confidence to manage projects and client relationships independently.

  • Strong commercial awareness, communication and organisational skills.

  • A degree or MSc in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management or a related discipline.

  • MRICS or SCSI chartership is preferred, but not essential.

Our preference is to recruit directly wherever possible. Should this role be approved for support from external recruitment partners, we will contact our PSL agencies accordingly.

Please note that we do not accept unsolicited CVs from agencies. Effective introduction of a candidate will only be accepted if it has been requested to submit CV’s in relation to a specific vacancy. Any speculative submissions will not incur a fee. For any queries, kindly reach out to the appropriate Talent Acquisition team member.
