Our client, an established organisation within the iGaming industry, is looking to recruit an experienced Country Manager – Canada to lead its expansion and commercial activities within the Canadian market.
This is a senior commercial position with full P&L ownership, taking responsibility for revenue, costs, profitability and overall market performance. The successful candidate will act as the organisation’s key market expert, developing the local strategy, building strategic relationships and driving sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Take full ownership of the market P&L, commercial performance and profitability.
Manage key market KPIs, marketing efficiency and contribution margin against agreed targets.
Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for Canada, in line with the wider group strategy.
Identify opportunities for further market expansion, including potential additional brands and business opportunities.
Monitor competitive activity, regulatory developments, payment infrastructure and other important market changes.
Lead monthly market performance reviews, presenting results, insights and corrective actions to senior management.
Build and develop the local team across areas including VIP, Marketing, CRM, Community and Operational Support.
Establish and manage key external relationships with affiliates, media partners, KOLs, community channels, payment providers and other local partners.
Work closely with central teams to ensure effective execution of the local commercial strategy.
Maintain a strong understanding of the local operating environment, including payment availability, market access, partner risks and regulatory developments.
Provide senior management with timely market intelligence and recommendations.
Requirements
Strong track record in commercially focused iGaming roles, ideally with previous P&L or country-level responsibility.
In-depth and current knowledge of the Canadian iGaming market and the wider regional landscape.
Experience developing and executing market-entry and growth strategies.
Proven experience building and managing local teams.
Strong understanding of operational challenges within international/offshore iGaming markets, including payments, market access and partner management.
An established network of relevant industry contacts, including affiliates, payment providers, KOLs and local talent.
Experience working with VIP / high-value player segments and a strong understanding of relationship-driven player management.
Quebec French is strongly preferred, while professional-level English is essential.
Strong commercial judgement with the ability to assess business, operational and partnership risks.
Confident communicator capable of challenging strategy constructively while effectively executing agreed decisions.
