CPA-Assistant Manager

Develops a solid understanding of domestic tax principles and continuously enhances this knowledge through relevant learning and study. Shows familiarity with domestic tax laws, case law, and related regulations by researching, analyzing, and consistently applying them to assigned tasks based on role level. Prepares and reviews accurate tax calculations, analyses, and returns involving straightforward facts and issues. Effectively uses local research materials, software, and technological tools to produce accurate and thorough work in an efficient manner. Applies tax risk management processes and tools appropriately in line with role expectations. Recognizes possible tax planning opportunities within the local tax system and escalates them when necessary. Adheres strictly to confidentiality requirements and privacy regulations set by the firm and relevant authorities. Maintains up-to-date technical knowledge by completing required tax training on time and applying learned concepts in practice. Communicates tax-related issues with clients, tax authorities, and team members, including evaluating unclear or conflicting guidance. Interprets relevant tax sources to complete and document compliance and advisory assignments. Evaluates tax laws and authorities to form conclusions on moderately complex issues and scenarios. Keeps up with changes in tax legislation, regulations, and industry matters, identifying their impact on clients and incorporating them into work outputs. Reviews the work of junior staff to assess the quality of analysis and conclusions, and contributes to discussions with managers or partners on technical issues. Produces clear, well-structured, and logically supported technical tax analyses. Qualifications: - Must be a Certified Public Accountant - Must have relevant experience in Philippine tax practice – tax advisory and some tax advocacy work - Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Location: Makati Work set-up: Hybrid (3 days onsite & 2 days WFH)
