About the role

I’m looking for a friendly, organised assistant to help manage client communication and keep the day-to-day details of creative projects running smoothly. You’ll act as a liaison between me and my clients—keeping conversations organised, passing along feedback and making sure everyone knows what’s happening next.

What you’ll help with

• Keeping in touch with clients and making sure they feel informed and looked after.

• Relaying client questions, feedback and requests to me clearly.

• Keeping track of files, assets, approvals and project details.

• Managing conversations across Slack, email and messages.

• Following up on outstanding information and keeping next steps organised.

• Helping me stay on top of deadlines and commitments.

• Have excellent communication and writing skills.

• Are organised, attentive to detail and comfortable juggling several conversations.

• Take initiative with follow-ups and ask questions when something needs clarifying.

• Enjoy learning new things.

An interest in creative work, websites, graphic design, generative AI or app development would be a bonus. There’ll be opportunities to learn through the projects, but you don’t need design or development skills to apply. These are strengths we’d welcome, rather than a checklist you need to meet. Formal qualifications aren’t essential.

The opportunity

This is a contract role offering 20% of the service fees on every Human + Machine business project during the engagement—not just the projects you work on directly. It’s commission-based, so earnings will vary rather than being a fixed weekly wage. We can discuss the finer details when we meet.

You’ll be based in Auckland, working remotely with occasional in-person meetings.
